TripleM 10-19-2007, 12:04 AM :11:Haloween Tips:11:
Hey VMKF, I just thought I should give some Tips so everyone can have the best haloween! Especially the kids!
1: Never go alone
NEVER go out trick-or-treating without someone with you. Older kids: You can go with a friend, or a parent, just bring a cell phone/walkie talkies.
2: Be prepared
Always bring your trick-or-treat bag with you, and remember to bring a flashlight, you don't want to be stumbling in the dark!
3: Don't go far
Stay close to your house, because you can get lost, and that won't be good!
4: Don't eat your candy
Well, not exactly. Always have a parent inspect your candy before you eat it. You never know what can be in that stuff!
5:Remember what you learned in kindergarden!
Remember the basicsor being out in public, don't talk to strangers, Don't get into a car, and respect the candy limit, if any.
Thanks for reading, and have a great
Haloween

MLKnCookies 10-19-2007, 12:11 AM :54:And remember, look both ways before crossing the street!
TheBird 10-19-2007, 12:13 AM Good thinking, it's good to be safe on halloween :)
I have another:
If someone isn't home, but they leave a small bowl of candy, don't grab a handful.
If someone's light's aren't on outside their home, don't go up to that house, it probably means they aren't participating. This rules doesn't apply only when they have a spooky set-up on their front porch.
MLKnCookies 10-19-2007, 12:21 AM Don't take down or ruin halloween decorations; respect their property.
sunnyskye 10-19-2007, 12:23 AM Yeah, if they have Halloween stuff in their yard, and porch lights that are off, don't skip them! If everyone did that, they would wonder why no kids came! lol Also, here are a few more tips:
*Bring extra bags, because trick or treating bags fill up FAST! My friend's dad went with us, and he used plastic bags to put all our extra candy in, and we carried our normal trick or treat bags.*
*Stay away from small plastic pumpkin trick or treat bags, unless your parents say that is how much you can have. If you use the plastic pumpkins, (the hard plastic) when it fills up, that's it. You can't stuff any more candy in it, no matter how hard you try. So, stick to flexible bags that can still hold just a little bit more when full.*

sktrchick95 10-20-2007, 03:08 AM Here's some tips:
1) When with a friend and her/his little sibling and his/her's friends, Be nice and don't best them up. (i might end up doing that to my friends little brother. Even though he is a few months younger then me...)
2) Be nice and respect other people.
3) Respect peoples' lawn and porch and their lawn and porch decorations.
4) Always trust the pillowcase.
5) If you live in a big neighborhood, carry more then one pillowcase/plastic bag. Even if you live in a small neighborhood.
6) Don't talk to strangers unless your saying Trick-or-treat.
7) Don't get in any cars at all, unless its your mom/dad's car to go to another neighborhood.
8) If your costume includes high heel shoes, always carry sneakers just in case your feet and legs get tired.
7) Always carry a jacket just in case you get cold.
8) Wear age-appropriet costumes.
9) Have a parent/Gardian expect ALL candy before eating it.
10) Do NOT try to eat all of your candy in one night.
11) Be safe when crossing the street.
12) Before you go trick-or-treating with friends listen to your mom/dad/gardian when they tell you not to go up to a certain house, even if they decorated their house.
13)Remember to bring a flashligh even if there are street lights around.
14) Do NOT tease people if they have "Dumb" costumes.
15) Do NOT hurt younger kinds' feelings.
16) Do NOT freak out if the house has a fog machine and the fog lights and is the "sacariest" house on the block.
17) Do NOT do those immature and annoying doorbell tunes.
18) Do NOT ring the doorbell/know on the door more then once. If no one answers the door with in 8 minutes (depends on how big the house is) then thry again. If no one answers the door the second time, chances are that they aren't home, but probbably forgot to turn a front light, or the porch light, off.
19) If you are with a group of friends, do NOT wander off by yourself unless you are just goona go to the end of the front lawn, but be sure to tell them where you will be.
20) If you do not have a set of walkie-talkies or a cell phone, ask a parent to borrow their cell phone, just in case you and your friend/parent get seperated.
