Alright, me and my mom have planned our Disney trip for October. She has bought the plane tickets, the park tickets, and then she was going to buy our hotel tickets. When she looked, every single hotel owner by Disney was sold out! EVERY SINGLE ONE! The only hotel available was a hotel not owned by disney in downtown disney. But, if we would have stayed at that one, we wouldn't get the extra magic hours. and if the park reached it's capacity (which actually does happen even if you believe it or not), we wouldn't be allowed to go in since we aren't staying in a Disney hotel. So...me and my mom changed out vacation to November (we will get to see the christmas stuff! Yay!) But we had to spend a bunch of extra money to change our flight.

But can you actually believe that EVERY SINGLE HOTEL owned by Disney is SOLD OUT in October? To me, that is just extremely shocking!

I think that happens a lot. But at least your trip will hopefully be better now than before. ;)

We're suppose to go next year,
And some of the hotels say booked until May of '08

I don't think it happens a lot, because then it would probably be really full in the summer. But, you are right. It probably will be a lot better than before. Me and my mom will be able to see all of the christmas decorations to (which i have heard Disney's christmas decorations are spectacular) but we rescheduled our trip because imagine how crowded the parks would be if all the hotels are full! LOL

And usually october is the better time to go

I believe it. When I was alot younger we actually were told that even though we had reservations because we arrived late which was not our fault they gave our room away at the Wilderness Lodge. So between 8 Pm and 1 Am we went through five hotels before we finally got a room at the Beach Club,

Not surprised. My Dad got reservations but forgot to confirm them. So yeah... first time I'm not going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Wow, that is smart, although i am kinda glad that my mom didn't book out trip already. Then, we would have to risk not even being able to enter the parks. I mean, imagine spending all that money just to end up standing outside the gates for the whole time. :(

That's a surprise to you? It's always full. Everybody that's in the Disney hotels are people who booked like a year ahead.

Try and hit disney the week before thanksgving; NOBODY IS THERE :D

we went for two weeks, a week before thanksgiving, and the weeks of thanksgiving, its was awesome the first week, no waits for rides, like the perfect amount of people their, The longest we had to wait for somethine was 30 mins :D
the week of thanksgiving... IT WAS PACKED
160 min waits.. it was out of control, but we still had fun :D

Actually yea we have our trips planned sometimes a year ahead. If you plan October in September then your in a wheel of risk which everyone else has six months ahead of you and it gets frustrating >_<

CollJamz: Exactly! We always go around thanksgiving each year and the week before is great except for maybe some days of crowds but no matter what even a big crowd to me is a small crowd. Ill never forget how big the crowd was at Christmas...

This time of year is very busy at the WDW hotels now because Disney runs a huge dining deal for their hotel guests. It's extremely popular and really does pack the Disney-owned hotels.
