Hey!! Ok so, Vmk was down for a couple of minutes, but then i was able to get on and when it was all loaded it said Error.41 Does anyone know what it is??

So I guess other people can't log on?
I've been having issues for like 10 minutes.

With the Extreme amount of lag going around, Error 41 has returned, unfortuanitly.

This is yet again, one of the many dreaded returns of this horrible bug. If you dont know what im talking about, then here is a definition of the bug

ERROR.41: When Recived a message, saying Error.41 on it, many different things may happen to your account. The most common effect is loosing your friends list. also, you could loose your credits or inventory stock So, it all starts out with you having major lag problems on vmk, and not being able to follow your friends. so what do you do? log off of course, or you crash/dc. but this just makes the bug worst, now you loose the list/credit/inventory.
(no records of a list/inventory/credit being perminitly lost.).

Fixes:
fixes are romoured, and do not always work. Last time i got the bug, i just kept perpously crashing myself, until i logged on, having the list/inventory/credit back. Some players wait until the next day or contact vmk ( Contacting isn't the best recourcse)

Updates:
*most players cannot get on vmk at this time. please everyone stay calm .-.
* 9/23/07 Most lists have returned

Lets just hope no one gets the dreaded blank list like me, or that nobody losses credit or inventory (happened to both my friends)

That was the weirdest thing, I was just going through my inventory and writing everything down since I have no clue what I have. Off and On I was getting the 5 minute message saying you will be disconnected but just clicked ok, and then all of a sudden it said disconnected. I was like what the heck is going on, and checked the other two screens and they where also down. Not sure what happened and have no clue what that error means, even if we knew what it means it wouldn't help us out its something for the vmk technical staff to look at...

Probably, Error 41 causes many things..

I logged on, opened my friend list to see who's on. Its blank. Then right when it opens. BAM! it crashes. ._.

Yea It is just saying that its too busy.. So i guess i will just have to wait lol but i was really confused with the error.41

lol sorry i guess i got to learn to read the small print.

this is what happened to me:
I was making an inferno offer room and then i couldnt put stuff down or move, so i decided to sign off and on because sometimes when i put alot of stuff down at once i get weird lag like that. So, when i got back I had no friends list but i was moving around fine. Then i go the Error 41 pop up. I didnt know what error 41 even was though lol. So i was like whatever, then i checked my friends list.. it was blank, but this happened a couple of days ago (my friends list being blank). So, i just disregarded it. I checked my inventory, my pins and furnish were there, so i was going to go back to doing my inferno offer and when i went to switch rooms, i crashed. then i read this to see whats up with that.. and now here i am lol.

Mine is still down........ D=

when i WAS on about a half hour ago, my list was gone, along with a few of my friends lists also, and i was just sitting watching tv with my computer next to me and then it shows i entered two different rooms. im guessing that was part of the error?
it took away my list, and moved me in different rooms! this bugs amazing. LOL

Error 41 is because vmk has players sitting in rooms waiting for hosts to appear lagging up everything.

If I read it correctly VMK made a mistake with this dreams stuff.. Month of Nightmare is more like it.
Everyone wants hats, rooms, pins and a grab bag of other things.

VMK should pass them out to all, so we can get on with VMK fun that we miss this month.

AH!! Error 41!alert alert! a very powerful VMK bug!!it takes away friends,credits,and alot of stuff but it gets fixed,u get your stuff back,and friends

i got error 41 - i bet this is due to all the hacking they warned us about in the newsletter. and my friends are gone. :-( oh well. im sure it will be fixed soon. at least i haven't lost any inventory.

Tried that, didn't work. But I'm glad I didn't lose any inventory or credits. But in pirates you know you always get a message afterwards telling you how many credits you get? I don't get those anymore but I still get the credits @_@

OMG WHEW! I was wierded out I wasn't getting anything then I went to check my emssages, but the friends come up first and ALL MY FRIENDS/REQUEST WERE GONE!! :eek:

I tried logging in again for me and my brother and it appears to be working.

Sweet, maybe they fixed the problem I had...

I still don't have a friend list.

Drat, nevermind. It would appear that I can see where my friends are that were on when I first logged on, but if one of my friends logs on after that then they don't show up.

I hope this doesn't keep up, What type of evil force is doing this??

I got the friendlist bug... All I did was log off and then back on but then all my stuff was gone, so I shut down my computer and waited a few minutes to try and log on again. In the end I had all my stuff and friends still!
