I know there is already a thread on this, but I decided to make one for SCARY breakdowns. Like ones you actually had to get up and move around on the rides or walk through them, or just something freaky that occured. And if I get enough posts, I'll tell you something totally UNBELIVEABLE that happend to my aunt at disney. Post away!

LOL... well, I think the scariest "delays"(they aren't breakdowns) are on TOT. Sometimes the elevator has to stop IDK why, I guess to get the timing right or something. But it always happens right after the corridor scene when the doors shut. It gets dead quiet and the elevator just sits there in pitch black. It's really scary knowing that the elevator is meant to drop, although we all know it can't "drop" in the first shaft. It's pretty freaky just the thought of it though.

It wasn't on a Disney ride but at Universal on Jaws we got stuck in the warehouse and every minute or so Jaws jumped out of the water makng it kind of creepy and they didn't turn the lights on or decide to turn off Jaws.

Well I think that the scariest Delay would be when your on 'Sky Coaster' and they haven't pulled the rope yet so your suspended all alone about 400-500 feet in the air and you don't know when they are going to pull the rope. That would be really scary for me.

heh, i remember when i was like, 4, we went to the haunted mansion and the ride got stuck(From Handicaped people) at the graveyard and right in front of a pop-up Ghost.(I was SO SCARED! lol) then this year i went to Kings Island and rode Flight of Fear( A Pitch Black Enclosed Launch coaster) we were stuck at the breaks in the dark for ten minutes. SO much fun! :)

LOL weird. My aunt was in "It's A Small World" (known as the most annoying ride EVER!) and she got stuck in there. A young teenager tried to help by pushing the boats but it didnt work so they had to walk through the water and up onto where the big dolls are. (Animatronic dolls freak me out for some reason and i get so scared.) They finally shut off the music but the dolls were still moving. Imagine the other noises being heard without the music. Like the quacking of the geese and stuff. So they walked up to a door they thought would lead outside, but it was all just weird wires. Isn't that soo traumitizing? I would of been so scared walking up where MOVING DOLLS were and then opening a door full of the doll's wires.

Oh my. It's a Small World is kind of creepy, especially if you read the Kingdom Keepers. AHH.

Wow. that would be so scary. I can barely stand to watch the dolls melt in Willy Wonka, so if we were on Small World I'd be like, "Uh... I'll just... wait for the boats to work again..."

Sorry to go off topic but is the Kingdom Keepers good? I saw it in VMK Central and it caught my attention. Back on topic I've also been stuck on Dinosaur at the part where you get your picture taken now that was a creepy breakdown.

It's an amazing book. I usually don't read books, but I loved it.
Now for the on topic part, I don't think I've ever had a scary breakdown. Test Track breaks down almost everytime, though. It's kind of funny, we were at the sharp turns thingy, and we just didn't move. But the audio was like "10%, 20%, 30% etc". We also got stuck at the extreme weather conditions. gah.

Ok I was on spaceship earth, about 10 seconds onto the ride it breaks down.
(we were in between the room you enter the ride and going up) we were right in front of a security camera watching the people on the ride. Since it was pitch dark in there i guess, everyone started doing whatever xD one guy on it started picking his nose and we could see it on the security camera. And they told everyone to remain seated so a little girl got up on the ride o.O

Actually typically the POTC boats get backed up before you see the finale of the ride. It's usually always backed up around that area.

One of the scariest breakdowns I've experienced wasn't THAT scary, but at the time it was. I was on Splah Mountain and we were about to go down "Slippin Falls" when the they announced that the ride had broken down. However, it is a water ride, so it kept going.... and going..... and going. We were crashing into other boats left and right, and instead of the normal interval of going down the big drop, it was about 5 seconds between boats

Lol! Were you on the big hill, the final drop? If so, ouch. That would be a head on collision! Major whiplash, too.

Kitri, I agree! I was scared on that ride! It didn't even move that much, but when the doors closed, I didn't think it was such a good idea anymore! lol

I wasn't screaming, I was more confused than anything. They still had control of the ride on the drop, it was just in much shorter intervals, but other than that, it was "bumper to bumper".

Still fun though! lol 0_o

Not really THAT scary but twice in the same day at WDW I got stuck on the haunted mansion. The first time was when you're going up that hill where there is those two spiders, and the second time was at the part where there's those doors and some are half opening and handles are moving also knocking noises could be heard. That door one was scary because the doors wouldn't stop moving. On each time we waited about 20 minutes.

Oh, yes, the same trip as my Splash incident (awkweird!!!), we got stuck for about 15 minutes in 2 spots-

1) the "13 o'clock" grandfather clock
2) the graveyard.... with the heads popping out... my "favorite" *cough cough* part
