Seeing that noone on here can really be told if your an editor or not and some people don't have the time, use, whatever the reason may be to become an editor but need sometign edited they should be able to know who to PM about the item. I was thinking about coming up with a usergroup of some sort on here to show who is the offical WIKI Editors, like a special colored name and such.

I was thinking of that too, because I'd like to be an editor. But we could use the system VMK uses for moderators: MOD_ Batleth, ADMIN_Batleth (just using the name). WIKI_Facneyface, and such for others :)

I'm not sure there is really a need for this. Currently, non editors who need to contact an editor can either:
1) Leave a post regarding a wiki edit/error on our thread here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94968) .
2) Take a look at the list of wiki editors here (http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/index.php/Special:Listusers) to see who is an editor and PM them directly.
Anyone interested in being an editor can get application information here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108610).

Omg woot, I'm number 50 in that first page. But anyways, we could have just a usergroup that is set to admin set only to where only a mod can set you in that group by a request and it says in your profile how you a wiki editor.

I'm especially concerned about people wanting to PM editors. The wiki is a community project - discussions about changes are also best done as a community.
Discussions about changes done privately only lead to problems.
There is also a third method to chat about changes - the #disneysonlineworlds channel on live chat, but since not every editor is there all the time, I would still say that posting something in the forum would be best.

Way, way back, when the wiki was first starting, Nick had it set so that all wiki editors were operators in #disneysonlineworlds on chat. Naturally, everyone wanted to join the wiki after that. Not because they wanted to actually edit it, of course. They just wanted to be chat moderators, since they thought it would give them better social status. So, after that, Nick changed things back to the way they were.
If we give editors fancy name colors and a name prefix, we'll have the same problem. If editors are to be given awards, it should be for actually editing the wiki, and not just being an editor. After all, we don't want to turn the wiki into the community leader program.

I have seen a VB site that allows a secondary usertitle for users, put there by administrators. This shows a bold sentence underneath the user's usertitle, whatever they choose their usertitle to be. I assume if this was to happen with DOW editors, it would read "DisneysOnlineWorlds Wiki Editor" or something along the lines of that.
Still, I have to side with the fact that the wiki is a community project and that this would further encourage users to PM a certain person instead of discussing it in this forum, which is the better choice.
