I've had this problem now twice: Accounts being deleted. I looked on the home page and it clearly stated that they delete accounts if they have been active for 6 months. Sadly, one of the account that was deleted was made in park from Disneyland :(.

Anyone else had this problem?

Mine almost got deleted last year, i didn't go on from july- december 31. and on january first i decided to check back in bc if i didn't it would have been deleted shortly after

I'm sure you mean inactive, right? ;)

Also, no matter what the account is, Born in Park, has VIP badge, a regular player, or is a CL (though the person would probably lose the CL title long before that because of inactivity), the account will be deleted if you don't log on to it after 6 months.

Oh yes that's when i mean inactive , and i know it doesn't matter what account i'm just saying my born in park was deleted!

They need to do that or else there wouldn't be any room on the VMK hard drive. Delete the old and bring in the new!

If you would think of how much people complain about lag now, and how much more lag it would create....

The reason they delete then is simply for the newer players to have a better environment of play, and for that they must delete those who don't play anymore.

Has anyone had everything you owned deleted too, ex. furniture, pins, clothing, etc.? I had a friend lose everything because she hadn't been there in quite a while because she didn't have internet... and she couldn't get her title back either. What do you think the chances are of her getting her account restored (other than the name) to what she had before?

I went through a time where I wasn't on for a while... thank goodness I got back on before the 6 month time passed!

The chances are very slim, unfortunatly.

Ive heard multible cases where people have internet problems and cant get on, the contact VMK, but VMK headquaters is unable to do anything about it..

My first character, Jordyn, from day 1, was deleted. However, the main reason that it was inactive was because all of my items were deleted, including all my beta items, my teleportation magic, 3-star fireworks, etc. Gone :(. So, it doesn't really matter that it got deleted.

I created a new character, JordynJr, in Jordyn's honor... ;)

I didn't think there would be any chance... honestly... but she contacted them about it anyway. I told her it couldn't hurt. But I think it'll be because she can't prove what she had and all that.

I contacted staff about it, they said report it to home page. But I couldn't see how that would help.

I had an account i kept all my rare stuff (i have 20 firewalls >.<) so i wouldnt be tempted to trade it, and what do you know, it got deleted.
there also was a period of time i wasn't on. I'm glad i got on before 6 months!

one of mine got deleted after they updated the shockwave thing bc i couldnt download it bc my computer blocked it i still remember the name RoyalHermione....(didnt think id remember that) i had a lot of rare on that account so i was mad when it got deleted...it was around the Sky High time tho when u spelled it Ski Hi stool

I lost almost everything when they deleted alphathewolf. I think i'm gonna try and work something out since they deleted him while on a 10 year ban. I find that if a character is banned for 10 years then they shouldn't delete it till the ban is up.

I agree... I think there should be a way to get your account back to it's previous state... in some way or another. I mean I can understand having to re-create your character... and even the title isn't really a big deal... but the items that you work hard for and the time and money (real money from going to the parks) spent on the stuff should be taken into consideration. My friend is devestated over this and I'm having a hard time convincing her to not to quit.

By the way... where exactly on the site does it mention the 6 month inactivity clause? I looked the other day but apparently I didn't look hard enough :P

Because of the size of our community we have to delete accounts that are inactive for more than 6 months to make room for new players - so if you haven't played in a while, be sure to log in every now and then (even if just for a few minutes) and keep your account active!

I had it almoast happen because I didnt go on vmk for awhile but thankfully I checked back every couple months so it didnt get deleted.

yes good idea! i mean if vmk is around in ten years and u like it still if u were banned for ten years the minute u get off the ban poof your account is gone! i like the 1 year idea good thinking!

They really can't do anything about it. If they delete your account, then they have no record of it anymore. If there could get it back, that means it would have to be stored somewhere, but since they delete inactive accounts, she won't get it back, sorry :(

Strikemaster, say your account is banned for ten years, and they wait a year until they delete you. You still won't get your account back, it would have been deleted 9 years ago.

That would be nice and all, but you must also take into consideration those who play VMK regularly. By increasing it to a year... And by more accounts... It may eventually almost double the lag placed on the server, while the accounts are taking longer to be deleted. It might eventually even out to an atleast reasonable amount, but this would most likely a few years.

Then if everyone (or most people) had more than one account (and there are even some people with more than that), it would more than likely never be successful, which would leave them with two choices: Pay more for the server and perhaps double cost of the site, or change back to six months.

Lots of this is just speculation, but it has some math in there.

Yeah I wanted to be a CL so I made a new account, and my old one got deleted. But thats ok, because there was nothing on there. Not only that, but I had ANOTHER account (I fogot the login info) and it was deleted. Now I've made CaptinBelle and BlueSharkie :D

So yes, I feel bad for you all, but VMK probably have no choice. If you KNOW you will be off for a long time, go to a Library or something, and quickly sneak on. Or go to a friend's house or something. Or if you are grounded (my friend is ALWAYS grounded) work something out with your parents or something. But I have a VERY good idea for VMK! Every month, they should send you an email on your parents email that you gave them and say:

"Hi (insertusernamehere), you have not logged on in a month! Please remember, if you dont log on for 6 months, your account and all your items will be deleted for good! So please login so you can keep your stuff."

Or, they should have an option, where you can enter a spare account you have, and when your account is to be deleted, they automatically send your items over to the spare account. I think those are some good ideas :D

It is an unfortunate situation but the volume of people has grown on VMK!
I feel VMK should notify you via e-mail and let you know your account will be deleted if no activity is shown. Going on VMK at least 1 time between 1-5 months will stop that from happening.

If you have alot of accounts they will delete the ones you don't use.

This has happened to me before. But, what makes it worse is that I had lots of rare of outfits, furthermore, I had pirate stuff from the kellogs online pirate game thing.
Now, the pirate stuff has turned rare as you cannot us magic codes anymore. It has upset me loads, but my new account is doing okay, I suppose.

That happened to me I had lost interest in vmk for a while and was exploring other sites, then one day i wanted to go on it and it had been deleted. I was so upset because i had a yeti room and lots of rare because i had it about three years ago.

I almost lost interest in VMK for a little while, but then I looked back at the memories of how fun it was during the holidays and during the summer when you just had all day to play it, so that saved my character. I only have 1.

weird this problem never happend to me i havent been on my acc since 2007 but the day i logged on during 2007 my sccount was still on the game and i havent play since 2006 and i had my vmk account since 2005

Actually, I have a CL_ friend still on my list she hasn't been on in over a year, CL_MsBehave. She's a good friend, sad to not see her on though.

I've been deleted before with ym old account, i ahd a lot of stuff on it, but now everyone will be deleted
