As of tonight, the earth barge will funally be taken out of the show for a 3 week long refurb if all goes as planned. This wasn't the case for the lase 4 times the refurb was scheduled.

If all goes well, the barge will e back in the show for October 1st. A modified version of the show will be run including a spectacular finale as per my understanding.

As of this afternoon, the refurb has been delayed once again. A new date has yet to be named.

Uhh.. well, the new show, if there is one, will debut in 2009 as that is when RoE is scheduled to run through (they have to meet contract specifications). The rumored new show will be Calles IllumiNations: Sky Dance, as shown on Don Dorsey's website.

Yea, I heard that also from some WDI people. But they said nothing offical but it's in the works, but they sadly brought me down that there is no future plans of a Parade in EPCOT since ''EPCOT isn't fit for a parade'' :( I guess I can enjoy the other about 12 - 14 parades WDW has to offer.

They should totally remove the globe in my opinion. It has nothing to do with Disney. There's some fire inside it, with pictures of prancing horses on it. I understand what it's supposed to represent, but I don't like it so much. I'd much rather have a bigger part in the middle. :)

Well universal orlando firework show is very similar only the globes dont move they just show important movies that they made that made history and such. EPCOT's is starting to get a bit stale, maybe the skydance will bring it out...

Yes it is tru that EPCOT's Illuminations will be called starting in Fall or 2009 Illuminations: Skydance or they've talked about just Skydance. It will be even better than the Illuminations as of now I heard.
