View Full Version : Future Fantasmic-style show plus other details confirmed.
carlenanderic 08-29-2007, 02:45 AM As of last night, it has been confirmed that DCA is going to create the show fantastmic. But wait?!?! Isn't that already invented?!?! It is, though this I believe is an upgraded version..to by completed in 2011 sadly.
Anybody who thinks that Cars Coaster is going to actually become a ride is wrong. It has been confirmed through cast information.
Anyone interested?
Facnyface 08-29-2007, 02:51 AM A bit odd, DLR all ready has it.
carlenanderic 08-29-2007, 02:53 AM yes, but the new location is DCA. (:

Wildcat 08-29-2007, 02:57 AM Sigh..
Seriously, if you were to read and listen to all the true Disney websites, you would know that the following are in progress right now at DCA:
Toy Story Mania - Summer '08
(Supposedly) The Wonderful World of Color - who knows when this will come around, but this SHOW at DCA will feature water fountains and colored lights streaming through the center of the DCA lagoon.
The Wonderful World of Color is (supposedly) the Fantasmic! show you are talking about at DCA. Disney wouldn't move their best night show from one park to another right across the street. That would be a stupid investment, but a newer show is a good one.
carlenanderic 08-29-2007, 03:11 AM Well, actually..I saw them testing the show at DCA with my own eyes. Then, I went on the E Ticket cast tour..and a cast member confirmed me with the info.

You're right. They would never move the Main Street Electrical Parade somewhere else. Never.
Oh... wait...

If it doesn't open until 2011, how could you have seen them test it?
They Always keep their future projects hush-hush until the right time.
And As posted previously, they wouldn't move Fantasmic! to it's next-door neighbor.
If they did they would lose some money on that deal, DCA is the least visited Disney park in the world.
And also, no offense meant to cast members, but there are several of them who don't tell the truth at times.
manunderwater 08-29-2007, 02:42 PM Their next problem is where to put the seating... Maybe in the Golden State Park? oh, not alot of seating..
Hey did you guys notice that in parts of the area, the water has been drained a bit?

Anyone interested? You are wrong about it being another Fantasmic, it will be LIKE Fantasmic, just not the same exact thing. The show will be Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color (officially announced).
granacci 08-29-2007, 07:04 PM You're right. They would never move the Main Street Electrical Parade somewhere else. Never.
Oh... wait...
The Main street Electrical Light Parade was officially retired when they decided to take it out of retirment, and move it to DCA.
Fantasmic is nowhere near being retired, so it would be silly to move it next door, when it does so well right where it is.

Oh... wait...
Im wondering if the Oh... wait... was sarcasm, but if not they already did move the show to DCA.
If it doesn't open until 2011, how could you have seen them test it?
I do not know..but I did see them test it.
A big waterfall was shooting up, and a pinnicio(sp) clip was playing various times. Behind the waterfall were 5 blue tubes shooting out water.
This all happens on the fantasmic show.
The cast member said it's coming to DCA in 2011, because they are working on new technology.
manunderwater 08-29-2007, 08:07 PM Yeah, they removed some floats because the park was not big enough to store all of them...
carlenanderic 08-29-2007, 08:11 PM Underwater..
Are you talking about those 3 big floats, floating around in the DCA dock?
manunderwater 08-29-2007, 08:14 PM well if they are 3 pinocchio and 1 snow white float then yes.
but they would be WAY too big to be floating around in the dock because the dock is too small to support them.
carlenanderic 09-01-2007, 06:56 AM I still dont understand you..

He is quite correct. DCA is NOT GETTING FANTASMIC, however, they are in the working phases of The Wonderful World of Color. The cast member gave you incorrect information. Even Disney is not that dumb to add a second Fantasmic to a park right next door. It would only increase crowding and mone. Again, it is THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR not Fantasmic

It is very uncertain how things will turn out since there are many other major projects that are being planned for DCA before its 10th anniversary (2011). Some rumors have the target date for this show at 2009, but it all depends how they schedule and complete all those other projects.
Destination 09-01-2007, 08:34 AM yup it's true, here is a recent article from Scream Scape about the new show.
2009 - Wonderful World of Color - Rumor - (8/29/07) Local area spies spotted some testing in the lagoon this week, claiming they saw what looked like a Fantasmic style water screen set up and they were testing several different sets of colored underwater lights (blue, purple, red, etc…). Just thinking out loud here, but if they’re going to do a show called the Wonderful World of Color, then they really must include Professor Ludwig von Drake singing the Spectrum Song.
I'll have some pictures of work going on in the lagoon soon! ;)
