High School Musical 3, In Theaters?
A demand from Zac and Vanessa?
"Gossip reports surfaced today that the planned third movie, is in trouble. Several reports claim that stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are holding out on the big screen version for more money.
"When Access Hollywood spoke to Zac last week at the "HSM 2" premiere, he assured us it was something he wanted to do, "A third movie would be a dream come true. Finishing "High School Musical" with a third movie, that would be in theaters, is just sort of a tribute to everything we kind of did here.""At the same premiere, Vanessa told Access Hollywood she had not seen a script yet, but "If it's good of course we are all going to join back in We all have so much fun together. So, why wouldn't we do another one?"
"Access Hollywood has confirmed today with their reps that both Zac and Vanessa are still in talks to do the third movie."

Will HSM3 be filmed, and if it will, will it be in theaters? Comment here!
Fantasysurfingboy 08-25-2007, 04:55 AM Into theatre's? The filming is no where near good enough to go into theatre's. Unless they actually movie film it. I really hope they don't make a 3rd one.
CapnOlaf 08-25-2007, 05:09 AM They will probably do it for theaters, for matters of milking more money.

aiko_dee 10-09-2007, 03:05 AM Oh god!

Just word of advice!
Anyways:
In February of 2007, Disney announced plans for a 2008 feature film sequel with a Halloween theme dubbed "Haunted High School Musical." In September of 2007, Disney said they had s****ped plans for the Halloween theme and instead will focus on the senior year of key characters at East High. According to Yahoo news, the original writer from the first two films, Peter Barsocchini, is writing the script. The original producers and director Kenny Ortega are also on board. Ortega confirmed this to Access Hollywood. Walt Disney Studios also released the following statement; "There is no contractual obligation for any of the cast members to return. That said, we are in active negotiations with all of the principle cast members and are feeling optimistic."
Zac Efron was quoted from People Magazine, saying: "I can tell you that if the script is good and if we all agree on a final script, then there's nothing that is going to hold us back from doing it. We have fun making these movies and that's very rare in this business."
Rumors persist of ongoing salary disputes between Disney and the lead performers, particularly Efron. According to Rachel Abramowitz, as reported online by the Chicago Tribune, "An eclectic cross-section of Hollywood insiders think Efron should get a cool $5 million for "High School Musical 3," the theatrical version of the franchise, which Disney is hoping to make prestrike -- i.e., in the next nine months, before a possible Writers Guild and Screen Actors Guild strike shuts down Hollywood." Efron declined to comment for the article, and "although contract negotiations still are ongoing, sources say Efron is being offered a salary closer to $3 million, not $5 million, for the follow-up, which focuses on senior year at East High. Whatever the price, he's still perceived as a steal."
Thats the wiki info on HSM 3!

disneyzoodude 11-04-2007, 05:32 PM No offense to all HSM Lovers, but I am not a big fan of HSM... I don't think the movie would make much money
BasketballFarrah 11-04-2007, 05:38 PM I'm probably only gonna watch it just because Jesse McCartney is gonna guest star in it. :D
bethbeth95 11-04-2007, 05:40 PM i don't really know why its going to be in theaters everywhere, but if u ask me, i would go because my cousin will make me again but theres probably going to be a stampede from the girls who are HUGE fans of zac efron. BaseballStarz 11-04-2007, 07:13 PM i've been hearing the third High School musical may be in the movie theater. and i think it will cause all the actors want more money.. so they would put it in theaters to make more money.
Wondermanforever 11-04-2007, 08:06 PM Woot, agreed with base!
Captain Kool 11-08-2007, 05:17 PM I also agree. But, the thing I've been thinking about lately is, would have Walt aprooved? Disney is just getting to greedy, and I really don't think Walt would like it.
Also, dddj and bethbeth95, it's going to make alot of money. It's Disney, Cars did good, and it was about CARS!!! TALKING CARS!!!!
Fantasysurfingboy, yes it's not nearly good enough to make in theatres. But, it's Disney once again, somehow Disney just overpowers everyone even though all of their new movies are thick headed.
I think the last OK Disney movie was, Finding Nemo. At least it was original.
bethbeth95 11-14-2007, 11:45 PM Where's Walt when you need him?? Oh sorry, I had a retarded moment. I forgot he was dead.NO!! Why must the good die young?!?!?!
Mooshu 12-22-2007, 03:45 AM Well..
It's gonna be the most expensive nap i'll ever take. :l
Stemaboat_Tyler 12-22-2007, 01:27 PM I think if they do the movie, they should do like a graduation. All of them graduating.
AwesomeM 12-22-2007, 03:46 PM I think if they do the movie, they should do like a graduation. All of them graduating.
It's going to be called High School Musical 3: Graduation Day (from a Disney Channel caster's blog).
MsBored 12-22-2007, 04:19 PM OMG! Like, how much money does HSM wanna make? There are HSM Poster Book, HSM Special CD Editions (example; HSM Remix Edition), two movies, HSM Dolls, Mystery Date HSM Board Game, HSM Novels (example; HSM, HSM2, HSM Stories from East High Series), East High Yearbook, HSM Twister Moves, HSM DVD Board Game, Games, and a billion more that will break my hand from typing.

OstrichSam 12-23-2007, 02:01 AM OMG! Like, how much money does HSM wanna make?
~Mileyroxbluesky~
As much as possible, of course.
When the first HSM came out, it was okay, and I liked it, but that was what? Two years ago? And after seeing how much of a disappointment the second one was (-cough- recycled plot -cough-), I don't think the third movie has very high expectations, so what's the point of putting it in theaters?
Note: This is my OPINION.
EtnaGreen 12-26-2007, 06:55 PM Oh great this is proof that zac signed on.:xangry:http://disney.eprize.net/movierewards/index.tbapp?page=hsm_sweeps&swid={05CEA94F-61AD-45CE-A671-5B6C6F81BD37}&pbal=100
Mooshu 12-26-2007, 07:50 PM Boy, oh boy.
Pinkglitter 12-26-2007, 08:00 PM Yay More movies!!!!! YAY YAY!
EtnaGreen 12-26-2007, 08:12 PM At least they can't do another one after this one unless they go into college like they did with halloweentown. I wonder what they will do when hsm is finally gone. oh i know make a different movie series with the same actors. Oh joy.
rockstrkid 12-26-2007, 09:26 PM Disney cannot make HSM movies anymore..
due to reasons I can't discuss here..
MLKnCookies 12-26-2007, 09:51 PM It's good if it is in theatres, more advertisement, more money and it wouldn't be much of a big deal. especially if it will be the last movie
Matterz 12-27-2007, 04:10 AM I'd <3 to have it in theaters.
Me and my friend's would then go see it on Opening day! =)
The HSM Series pwns.
All hopes up,
Except they did mention it on TV. (Producer/Director did)
lemonysnicket3 12-27-2007, 04:18 AM At least they can't do another one after this one unless they go into college like they did with halloweentown. I wonder what they will do when hsm is finally gone. oh i know make a different movie series with the same actors. Oh joy.
College Musical
High School Musical: The Next Generation (TOTAL STAR TREK RIP-OFF! :O)
Grandparents Musical
I'm really hoping that reference of "ending" it is true.
Baseballthrill 12-27-2007, 12:18 PM the thrid one is made and the i know this because if you go on to Disney movie rewards you can win a trip to the premier of it in theaters
EtnaGreen 12-27-2007, 07:07 PM Baseball I just showed the link. ;) They haven't made it considering Zac just signed the contract.
LemonyScicket33, my brother and I were talking about that one day. We thought of some good ideas: preschool musical, kindergarden musical, daycare musical, elementary shcool musical 1,2,3,4,5,and 6, middle school musical, and retirement home musical. I dont think they can't get much more in considering Lucas and Ashley are both 22.
babiix3 12-28-2007, 05:43 PM HSM3: Graduation Day

Story:
Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and the whole gang are hitting up graduation with a bang. Graduation will be an event to remember!

Jadie 12-28-2007, 10:34 PM Weeell if I was a fan of HSM and Disney Channel, I would be mad about having to pay to watch it :l
Why does it need to be in theatres?.. Lol. I liked the first one, but the second one wasn't very good, and that's all Disney pays attention to anymore.. :l (besides Pixar, more Disney Channel, and those stupid sequels to all my favorite Disney films, like Cinderella III or whatever. What happened to their "HAPPILY EVER AFTERS?" >_>)
Hmm... a film about their graduation would be nice.. instead of that Halloween one they were planning..
I'm not gonna watch it, though :l
I guess it's exciting for the HSM fans, though, right?

I'm a HSM fan, but I'm not excited to pay D:
And yet, I'm still going to see it.
Way to go Disney, you just launched another great money scheme!
high five to you.
EtnaGreen 12-30-2007, 10:05 PM If you guys are mad about paying send a message to disney and wait until they put it on disney channel to watch it. It makes a lot more sense to act instead of complaining.
Jennings 12-30-2007, 11:34 PM HSM3 will most likely be a top grossing movie, even if they kill the franchise, more money brings in more movies
leowy 12-31-2007, 01:22 AM It wont be until 2010 for sure
Writers strike is holding Hannah Montanah movie and HSM3 from theaters, they have no script because of the writers strike
