We all know at least someone who has fallen victim to the dreaded "your name is not appropriate" message from VMK. Many of us have seen it personally.

Of course we seldom if ever know why our long held name suddenly has become inappropriate.

I logged in VMK today and they said my name [Narnialucgirl] can't be approved!
I've been on the account name since August of 2005!
So now my new name is Vegetable lol

Because my name is probably a name that people would think is a real name i am scared that vmk will take away my name i dont want to spend any more of my vmk days as a guest! No siree!

I agree with you. I have been seeing more and more people with real-life names (might not be their actual name). Just try changing the Narnia bit around if your other name isn't approved. Narnialucgirl = Narlucgirl?? Good luck :)

No, not on me, but my friend, Izma. I don't know why her name was changed, because it was a good replacement for Lazer Wolf while attempting to sing L'Chaim, and Izma is a disney name

omg i got a message my name got changed on vmk!! it wasnt bad at all all it was is disneycheergirl. Is it bc of disney? i no some ppl get it bc of disney. ive been playing for almost 2 years and this never happened!! it happen to my sister but who noes why. it didnt give me a reason. im very mad. now im guest a guest!

First off, they have to have a perfectly good reason for doing that. Second, there's nothing wrong with being a guest. You were a guest when you started, right? They have been doing that a lot lately, making people change their names. What's your new name now?

My name had to be changed after like four months it was BessMarvin from ND books.But I could see staff thinking it was my real name.But I dont know why they aproved when I started if I had to change it later??BTW my names now Ace_DancingQueen which I kinda like better but now noboady really notices me.:Tigger:

Yes that is what will happen when getting a name change. When your friends log on they get a message stating <insertnamehere>'s name has been changed to Guest<insertnumberhere>.

VMK said that disneyzoodude my username must be changed. WHY!?!?

It seems that lately, staff have been deleting names that have a disney character name, the word Disney, or anything of that sort. I think there is a thread somewhere on here about how to get it back. If I find it, i'll post but if not...i'm sorry i am not help to u. LOL

Maybe if you end up having to change your name you should try putting the same name in that you already have im not sure its going to work but you never know.Though sometimes you figure out your new name's better i did..or you dont and mourn forever.;)

All these name changes are odd, I had a friend on my list called, "Belleiscool" and they made her change her name. But, the thing is, Belle is not only a Disney name, plenty of girls are named that.

Another thing is, Narnia and Lucy aren't really Disney names. Lucy is a common girls name. But, they're from a non-Disney related book series. God, why does Disney have to ruin everything? They ruined Grease by HSM, and they ruined my favorite books by the Narnia movie.

I've been playing since beta, which is over a year. My name hasn't been changed yet.

well when your a guest people dont want to be friends with your or play games with you becuase you are new or your name like telle you who you are so i dont think they should do this


when your a guest people treat your different like your an alian that does not know what you are doing

I doubt VMK will ever make me change my name. Its Shakani, which isn't from a disney movie, nor is it my real life name. I have no idea what it is, anyway..

lt would be nice if VMK would just tell ppl the real reason when they take away their titles and tell ppl, when they are deciding a name, what is allowed. Any name that has to do with disney or anyone from another movie or show will probably be changed. I had 2 names changed - STITCh_TWIN and BOND_JAMES_BOND. So pick something original and hope for the best, gl :)

She said bc of they were getting rid of WDW names..
