Hey everybody. i have disgened and planned out a new online game, But i dont have any software to make it!

sorry, but im not anouncing any features besides its name, SpellTown; or as i call it, ST
it should be done in a year or so :)


i also need Staff, and Testers, but the staff and testers will only be friends, sorry people ;)

Staff wear a blue outfit and their title starts with ST_
testers wear a red outfit and their title starts with TEST_
and me? well i get my own outfit; as im the creator of the game ;) LOL

anyway; this is COPYRIGHTED!!! SO NO COPYING!!!

anyway; the main reason of this thread is to find software, or for someone to mention a software i could buy in stores, or buy online, that has minimal bugs and is easy to use.

and yes, Im willing to pay lots of money for the program.

I know of two programmes to make games, I don't know if they will help you or not. One is GameMaker, which my friend has. The other is called Microworlds. I think Microworlds is $100; I don't know the price of GameMaker. I don't know if they will help with online games or not, though. :\

If you don't know any programming, either would be a good starter. I learnt some programming from Microworlds, but I haven't used the program in a bit so I forgot how to use it. XD

Yup...I agree, if it's gonna be a game kinda like vmk, it's gonna need a lot of hard work. you'll need to create characters, and a world...and like...everything

Doing good, my sheet with all the info about the game is almost complete, i just need to make the values and the dictionary, so dont worry it will be safe :)

If you do some web surfing, you might be able to find out what "engine" drives VMK. By this I mean that you might find out what programme they used to make VMK.

Xiaolin, im not going to post about the game yet, but it has to do with a HUGE town, and Spells, where you can turn into dragons, frogs, and such.

i think this might be a hit... Im half way done the dictionary also.

If you're doing an MMO, I'd suggest googling up Eclipse (The MMO engine, not the Java tool!), and Server To Go. Both are free, but Server To Go needs a dedicated drive to run on, I believe (And by "Dedicated drive," I just mean "Computer or USB stick you'll be willing to leave on 24/7").

If you are working on the dictionary, please remember to add the gerund forms of the verbs. "Playing", "running", "swimming", "reading", "going"...

It's about as simple as you'll get with game development software, especially ones for making MMOs

The graphics... The default graphics are 8 bit, but I'm pretty sure you can add your own custom graphics.

TY for pointing out in BOLD letters that u are doing the exact thing VMK is doing right now. Also Cabela's is doing the same thing. Yes the big game hunting store is only hiring unless u party and are friends with the headhoncho's and guess what? people who have worked at Cabels a long time are quiting bc of that.

and i think i have control of my own game. im not just making my friends staff like " that", if thats what you think, Im only making my friends staff, because i no how they act in the game. i also gave them all a quiz to fill out, and they passed.
