Before playing VMK, I played a different virtual site, which also had shops. On the third of every month, everything in the shops would go on 1/2 price.
Now, on vmk, if something buyable cost 100 credits normally, on the 1/2 price day, it would be 50 credits, and so forth.
This would only be placed upon the items that have always been buyable, and will always be buyable (hopefully) (not on the specials).
How do you think of my idea?

No.
You need to think about what items sell back for as well. This would make muling increase for that day, and before that day.
Also, quest kiosk. Enough said.

I agree with Schmoofy -
I think most prices are fair and if you want more than one of something, save up.
We all started out as guests and I know I was able to build a river ride that went through several rooms,(over ten). I had that ride going within 2-3 months of joining VMK. If there is a will there is a way.

Woot! A sale!
...but in all seriousness, I have to agree with those that it would not be fair to those who saved up all those credits to purchase those items (especially high-in demand items). It also would not make sense for VMK to discount items because they would want you to spend a greater amount of time "in the park" earning those credits for those new/popular/expensive/ride-building items. To put such a quality & creative idea to work, then it would make sense that you have to be committed to make such an investment of time and a massive amount of credits to see it through.
And better yet, since when does a store inside a real Disney Theme Park have a sale (aside from the few Christmas items they try to get rid of after the holiday and those discount warehouse stores located offsite)? ;)

Actually I think double credit days are a direct response to all the new items being released as was stated in the newsletter about save up. It's a chance for new players to afford all the new stuff as well as those low on credits. Since the market is being flooded by new and re-released stuff, I think they are giving everyone a step up in the process.
How others spend the credits is up to them.
There is still a part of, put the time in reap the reward in this rather than, here you go - all half off.

I really like this idea. I find it an easier way to obtain items that are released. Maybe if it was on a Friday, the first day of the new items would be half price, then the rest of the time they would be full. ^^
