I heard that they are thinking about bringing DVC (Disney Vacation Club) to the Polynesian Resort. I heard this from one of the DVC workers, and I hope it's true becuase the Polyensian is one of the best WDW Resorts!

Note: I'm not POSITIVE if it's true =]

yea i heard that too. i also hear the were going to do the conterpoary (sp) but then they took it off thier web site and denying it. but it was on their web site. but right now they are working on Animal Kingdom Lodge. i just got back from WDW last week and at our hotel (Saratoga Springs) they had a walk in modle of the rooms that will be at the Lodge and they were awesome. they will have flat screen TV and if you get an one bedroom it will have two bathrooms instead of one and it can sleep up to 5 instead on 4 bc there will be a chair (for one person) and that pulls out to an one sleeper. oh and the bathroom in the main bedroom was HUGE!!! the shower was bigger than my whole bathroom it self!! in the shower it had a ledge so you could sit on it (but that is kind-of gross bc other people already sat on it and everything) and the toilet had its own room and it had a phone in it. and it was all Lion King themed. and the bath tub was huge too. it could hold up to 4 i think. and the kitchen was Huge too. it was great

You can see them working on it from the ferry boat, Fort Wilderness Campground and Lodge, WDW Railroad, almost anything you can see them building it. As for the poly, more then liekly they will. Becuase of the rise of DVC with it's over 15 years of service more then likely all of the WDW resorts will eventually have some sort of DVC in them.

I knew that DVC is coming to the Contemporary and Animal Kingdom hotel, but I haven't gotten any info of the Polynesian. I belong to the DVC and we always get this type of news, but I haven't yet.

Same, well before AKL had the DVC DVD , and that cute little booklet all memebers got, alot of people already knew of this coming. We know about Contemporary, and i dont think theres been much on that. The time will come ;)

Yea change may be good but there's alot of people who can't afford DVC or know that it's really something it's not (leave it at that). So alot of the time WDW has to watch where they put DVC becuase they may loose guests to the resorts.

Why would they lose guests. Just because they offer a certain type of accomidations? If people rebel and go anti disney becuase DVC is apart [not even] of the resort they are at, they really need a life. Lifes not Burger King, you can't have it your way!

Uh where do they have room at the Polynesian? They certainly don't have room to build villas. Will they being doing it like the Contemporary and tear down a few buildings and turn those into villas?

The only new DVC things I have heard are the Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the new Doorway to Dreams store.

As in denial about the contemporary they are, I managed to get a sketch of the building before it was removed, I will not post it though because it was already removed on many websites. Also they started construction where the north wing used to be, about Polynesian, this will most likely not happen for another at leat 3 years.

I did the vaction club thing once with the wilderness lodge and it was amazing. I wonder what they will do with the Polynessian. I have never stayed there, but I think I ate dinner there once.

Hmm, Well at AKL they did make some regular rooms into Villas,, besides from buldingg the whole new wing.
Cotemp. they are buildng now, and Polynesian they can take out other rooms, since the buldinds ae kinda spread out nice, and there is a it more room then what you may think, well from what ive seen just exploring. It doesnt needs to be HUGE GIGANITCO, like BCV.

Theres no space there... Anyway, all of you saying that they would lose guests from new DVC projects I believe you did forget the four seasons resort incoming to WDW. With that there they can house probably three times as more guests the polynesian did.

Yea true but you have to be DVC to stay in Saratoga Springs or Old Key West now which is garbage before you never had to. Vero Beach is the same way now too it's really stupid and eventually they will loose money on it.

You have to be DVC to stay in the villas or have to be a memeber to stay anywhere in the whole resort? Never heard of that..But they are indeed the most roomiest of the resorts..OKW is though biggest out of all i know for a fact. Saratago is like the same exact thing and BCV, which is my home resort.

Actually Saratoga was once mentioned one of the new biggest DVC's since it has 3 phases.

The only new one I have heard about is AK. The only resorts you can buy in at the moment are Saratoga and AK. Of course, you can get resale on Beach Club.... We just bought in Ak :D, and our DVC castmember said nothing about Poly or Contemp.. Hmm.

I was talking about the rooms =] OKW was the first and biggest. I know Sarasota is the biggest property. It's a huge maze, one reason i hate it.

You can see them building Contemp. But if you didn't ask about new DVC's, then they prob wouldnt mention it. We asked clearly, any new plans? We kinda wanted to switch out one vacation, even though we lovee out bcv <33

You still do not have to be a DVC member to stay at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. Anyone, member or not, can stay in the villas. Disney just released the new name for the villas for people who are not members, something like Disney Home Vacations. Everyone and anyone can go and stay in any of the rooms or villas at either resort.

I thought it sounded odd they were only letting DVC stay in them.
I neved stayed though in any, just good ole BCV.
