no it not a good games because you can't bye clothing you have to become a pay member to buy clothing.

I used to play that. I don't anymore.. since I found out that you need to actually pay for items. It was quite boring without many things ^^

I am not such a big fan of Club Penguin, but I tihnk it is great that Disney bought it. What a great investment.

joining, making a new penguin likely but ive had one for a bit, in my opinion i wouldn't be surprised if they set it to where you didn't have to pay for items, it would be more child friendly.

Club Penguin is a great game.. if your a member.. I have over 10,000 coins on there and only go on about once a month to see if anything new is happening.. I'm hoping that Disney takes away members (So it's like VMK) but since the haven't with ToonTown, then i guess it won't happen.

They adopted Club Penguin bc club penguin needed a company to work with. So Disney accepted it.

I may have to make another account as I cannot get into Club Penguiin. I tried Churchy, mechurchlady, Sweephunter and tried each of three of my passwords. It has been 5 months since I been there probably.

I will later check out the forums as I am not sure about paying to play when I have VMK. Nick got me into ToonTown and now who knows, I may end up with penguins.

i joined and i only do arcade most. I don't care for membership. :p

I joined and my son is now playing the game regularly...he has a free account and he enjoys it. He really likes the ice fishing. My daughter wants an acct. too. I will do a free one for her soon. We MAY do a pay one for my son although he is pretty busy in the school year (although in Winter with the weather he can enjoy being online more).

Anyway, the forum is great, I just joined and it is helpful in explaining the nuances of the game!

Recently I have been playing Club Penguin in order to add things to the wiki (http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Club_Penguin). At first I thought "wow, not that interesting but I'll keep going as the wiki needed information."

After playing a while I find that I enjoy the mini-games, LOVE the communication that the CPStaff have with it's members (Developer Blog, weekly newsletters in the game, etc.) and have enjoyed learning about the storylines. (Do you know who Rockhopper is?)

There are also events almost monthly where they have free items (and remember, there are free pins every two weeks!) and they almost completely redo the areas for whatever theme the party/event is. (Think Main Street Holiday makeover but every month!)

I agree that it would be nice if more things were able to be purchased with or without a membership and I also wish that things could be traded. But, in general great game for younger (and young at heart :) ) players and, if you like a story, fun events, etc, it is a good game. Also, even as a free player you can become a Secret Agent and a Tour Guide!
