Like the title says. My computer has no sound at all! Yesterday, going on websites was slow for me. So my sister got rid of a bunch of junk and I think that she got rid of the sound program or something. So now my computer is back to its regular speed, but without music it seems really dull. I've tried restarting but nothing happends. I have also checked on the settings and stuff and it says that I have sound programs, but no sound. So can anyone help me out with this? I really need help with it.

OK, you've probably already checked this, also, but...

What about your hardware? Have you checked your speakers?

This happens to my old computer. What I do is turn the sound totally off, restart it, and then if it doesn't work repeat the step. If it STILL doesn't work, I don't know what the problem is...

Yeah, I have. My speakers I got them with the computer, and they work great. Since I got off yesterday and since she got on, no sound, except the beeps and junk from the computer. Maybe they sell sound programs, or I can always call someone to see if they can fix it. But still, I just want to know if the problem is easily fixable.

Do a system restore is all else fails.

Since your having beeps that means that you lost your sound drivers. You may have a program for your sound, but that doesn't necessarily mean you have the drivers. Try and find the disc for your sound card or integrated sound and reinstall the drivers.

I used to have a computer with no sound. One time, I did summat wrong when trying to run a programme and *blink*, there went the sound. Turns out, we had to get a new sound card, and that fixed the problem.

Ill have to second that, if you cant find the disc. Try to figure out what your sound card is and than go to their website and download it from there.

XD My sister fixed it when she got home. Turns out she did get rid of the program. She did a back up/reboot thing so all of yesterdays programs could be back.

go to Start, Control Panel,"Sound,Speech,And Audio Devices", and click all tasks to see if the sounds are the highest
