Ok, so you know where you put a cd? There's a black round thing in the center of it, where the hole in the cd goes? Well mine broke in half... Not the WHOLE thing, but the thing in the middle. Whenever I put in a cd, it makes a really strange noise, and I don't want to hurt the cd. I think I can still play games, but do you think if I sent it in could it be fixed?

Thanks,
Lily

The best way to solve this is to buy a nice USB drive. There no way to fix that small part, so you'd have to replace the whole drive. If it's on a laptop, your only choice is the USB drive.

Is it hard to replace? Do you have to like get a new computer? Will it take long to install a new one?

You could have a new one installed, but it would be much cheaper and easier to buy an external USB drive that could sit on your desk.

Ditto.

If it is a PC and you someone you know that could install it, you can get a decent drive for really cheap at some sites. Otherwise if you have say Geeksquad or what ever CircuitCity's thing is called even a local comp shop they might over charge for something so simple
