View Full Version : Wonders of Life Gutting Confirmed
WDW Monorail 08-01-2007, 03:44 PM As filed HERE (http://officialrecords.occompt.com/wb_or1/details.asp?doc_id=29138539&file_num=20070499583&doc_status=S), WoL is to be partially gutted. Cranium Command and Body Wars will remain, however. Supposedly, they shall open for one last time this November. This is being done in order to prepare for the Food and [Beverage] Festival.
Marysol 08-02-2007, 12:35 PM i'm going to epcot soon so i'll confirm that, it says not yet vertified..
futureimagineer1117 08-02-2007, 06:05 PM OMG!!!!!I used to LOVE Cranium Command!!!!!!!!!!!! That was so much fun, and it's opened "seasonally" aka CLOSED.

This means that the document itself has not been verified. Believe me, it has happened already.
Also, the DNA strand and pavillion sign are being removed.
Facnyface 08-03-2007, 02:22 AM Finally.... But I wonder if WDW will turn it into another Mission: Space...
Off-topic: WDW Monorail, hey what's up?
DizCaptain 08-03-2007, 02:25 AM Nah, I heard they were gutting the entire thing for another convention center.
Marysol 08-03-2007, 03:37 PM I went yesterday, I didn't get a chance to ask or to look around much becuase it was raining cats and dogs so we just ran from attraction to attraction..
It said it's just closed becuase it's not on season. There were no walls or anything. I'll ask when I return later this week. I'm going to look into it more becuase from some post I have read by you Monorail, some of them were wrong, or totally off. It's the truth sorry, and no effence.

You are entitled to your opinion. And I respect it.
Just be aware that the world of Disney business is very ambiguous. It is difficult to get a straight or correct answer. Most of the time, CMs are the last to hear about future plans. Therefore, they aren't always the most reliable source about future WDI plans. (nothing against CMs)
The link that I have included in my first post is a direct link to the permit filed by Disney to the Orange County Comptroller. It is not just some random bit of information.
I'm noing to further derail this thread.:wave2:
Marysol 08-03-2007, 09:40 PM Trust me, I know. I've grown up around disney my whole entire life. You just need to ask the right questions.

Actually he's right. In case you haven't read his first post, he said it will re-open one last time in Novemeber. However it will be gone for good after then and yes he is right it will be gutted for the food and beverage festival.
Trust me, I know. I've grown up around disney my whole entire life. You just need to ask the right questions.
Cast Members are the last to know about what is happening in disney and why. When they were building Lights, Motors, Action! Exteme Stunt Show! all the Cast Members knew was that it was going to have a car theme. When they first announced it to the Cast Members they said it will be a car ride now it's a show. So as WDW Monorail said, Cast members are the last to know anything that happens and why in the park. My entire family has had some role in disney as a cast member. So please lighten up on him about what he is saying becuase he is right cast members in the parks are the LAST to know what's happening and why. Nothing against you or your opinion just stateing a few facts about CM's.
la4gator 08-05-2007, 11:32 PM darn it. i really liked the wonders of life pavillion
Facnyface 08-05-2007, 11:33 PM I guess everyone can enjoy the Beverage festival pivilion now lol!
WDW Monorail 08-06-2007, 07:43 PM The signs and the double-helix out front have been completely removed. :(
Facnyface 08-06-2007, 09:25 PM Hmm... I nominate Mission: Space as next to go out of EPCOT! But WOL is like Horizions for me I never went on it and never had intentions to hah!
Marysol 08-16-2007, 11:50 PM Now that I think about it, I do remember not seeing the thingy, the dna like thing clearly as i used too.. LOL.. what do i know, it's ALWAYS closed.
imo all i think it needed was a facelife, and a better location since its kinda hidden in the bushes.

Yea but soarin` is more hidden then it and it's one of the most popular attractions in WDW ;)
mulanstarscandy 08-18-2007, 09:56 PM I think Mission Space should stay
i love that ride
Soarin is Fun too i like it alot
Facnyface 08-19-2007, 12:36 AM Yea well Mission: Space has had alot of accidents (leave it at that) so it has a very bad rep. That is why they may consider it.
Marysol 08-20-2007, 06:58 PM Well now that they have the calmer version, which isnt that much diff. i dont remember anything bad happening there. With that Mission: Space stuff, it was the riders fault, imo they give you constant warning and many oppurtuinites to leave; they didnt.

But you can see the Land Pavillion Clearly, so much hustel and bustle. and there are many more attractions in there. The Land Ride, Circle Of Life, Great Food Court, and Garden Grill. WOL is like a little pathway in bushes, the building is around a bunch of bushes and you cant really see the burilding without being next to that path.
Facnyface 08-20-2007, 08:57 PM Yea but isn't that what Park Maps are for? Seems to me that everyone has a park map when they go now of days (I get one just as a souvineer lol).
