Some people say it is cheap to use gold in the POTC mini-game.

I say it is part of the game. What do you think?

Well, I don't think so... but that depends on the way you're using "cheap". Do you mean that it's almost like cheating? If that's what you mean, then I don't think so. If it was, then why would it be in the game?

So, if i understand the result up to now, 10 out of 10 use gold and think it is part of the game.

I guess that means the ones that complain do so because they just can't win...;)

Well. I sort of think it can be unfair.
Cheap isnt really the right word though.
I mean, you hit one person with gold and they're dead.

i use it! here let me pull up an experience..........

both teamates are down and its you against three, coincidentally gold appears close by, you get it and take down one of their guys. while the others are typing, " omg! " you get another and well what do u know! you're evenly matched!

No, I don't understand why people think trying to win is cheap/cheating! The point of the game is to win, that's what you try to do. There is no way to control anyone else, so you just play which ever way you want.

There is no such thing as cheap in pirates, everything is fair in love and pirates :)

I don't think it's cheap, but I just don't use it. I'd rather try and win without it. I think it's kind of cheap to use on friends though. >_<;;

No. VMK provided it as a helper in the game, therefore it isn't cheap.

Soon people will say that getting to the correct door in Haunted Mansion so you can get out and collect ghosts first is cheap.

Gold is not Cheap... It is Pirates after all matey!!

I don't know how it would be "cheap" to use gold in the POTC game,they put it in there for people to use it not to think if it's fair or not they only think it's "cheap" ,either because they didn't get the gold or because they lost that round

Haha Cheap in Pirates? That is hilarious. Gold is part of the game, if you can get to the gold first before the other side then it is yours to do with as you want.

1. they sink with just 1 cannon
2. when they sink someone it gets you many points
3. it also gives you extra cannons!

I use it whenever possible. If people call it cheap, it's just because they're stuck-up and don't want to admit they aren't any good ( No offense )

Another thing like gold is when someone gets stuck. People need to calm down...

I think gold is really cheap. It means someone can win in the game even if they didn't really earn the points they got by using it. I tend to use it, but I try not to.

me and some of my friends just get gold and waste it..... and what some people mean by 'cheap' is that it makes the game less challenging for whoever uses it..

I can't necessarily blame people for using it, since it is part of the game, but I much prefer the old Pirates when you had to take down people through skill and persistence, and not by firing a lucky shot that destroys anything it touches on contact. I do use gold to bait people, though; let them think they have a chance to get it, position yourself accordingly, and use it as a target. That normally works quite well when it comes to sinking codfish.
