Exactly...this is what I get too.

I guess it means the same thing as last time, gradually, the community will get smaller, until everyone has crashed or disconnected or gotten off. The entire Disney site database is once again down.

before you click the link to go to VMK, HOLD down the CTRL KEY.

After you get to the home page, which should look normal, then HOLD DOWN the CTRL key again, to get to the Log in Screen

I try to use VMKPal and it says the vmk website isn't connecting and when I try the official webbsite it says connection won't work so what's up?

I've tried VMK Pal a couple times, going from the VMK home page, going from a link and from the link on this forum home page.

It won't work, and I'm mad.

I can't get on either. I get to the homepage alright but when I login it says the server is to busy or something like that. Can you even get to vmk homepage? In July I wasn't able to get on VMK or any Disney home pages for a week and then it came back for two or three weeks. Then it happened again and I was unable to go to any Disney homepages for two weeks. I hope it never happens again. I heard of someone not being able to get on VMK for three months. Yea.. it happened to my first character, as stated above. But now trying to log my sister's on to do the credit run and it won't work.. but mine is fine in VMK.

The number of players listed as online has been going down... when i started trying to get in it was at 2000 and now it's at 1472.

Yeah there is always a thread made by mods about VMK being down, but anyway if you ask me they are adding in the trading card game which means new magic and items!!

I'd say that's jumping the gun a bit. There's no evidence that accounts have been deleted instead of this just being your average maintenance downtime.

I've seen this same problem before. ToonTown is down too so it's a Disney problem that will be resolved. It took several hours to get them back up last time. Hang in there!

Well, This happens all the time so I really doubt they deleted any accounts just because some people can't get in.

This is silly, when this happens, there's no need to panic. :)

It usually means VMk is taking care of something such as a big or adding new things, but I agree, why wouldn't they close VMK in the morning instead? There isn't much traffic then and it would be an ideal oppurtunity to put something new in.

If VMK is closed to update the game, it is usually for a bug somewhere and we don't notice anything brand, spanking new.

For the other question, that could be a possibly, but I highly doubt it.

I was hoping for best guest room again but no Host came to judge me(thats nothing new actually). I danced on Main street alone and rode the Pan ride the same way. Even the animals in the Jungle Cruise game were missing so I didn't score even one point.

Some times we complain about VMK but right now as you dream of getting logged in aren't you a bit sorry for all the times you thought mean things at them. Well as those poor computer geeks (in their Geek Squad Cars) rush to get you back in the game send them some good thoughts. VMK is no fun alone and its even less fun closed.

Well, knowing VMK, they probably made little unrecognizable enhancements and have closed the game for five hours just to irritate us. I've been trying to keep myself entertained, between watching M*A*S*H, watching the Presidential Address, watching Larry King Live, and various other videos, I am beggining to get extremely bored. It can't possibly be an overflow of players, it's a Jewish holiday and I'm sure most are celebrating. VMK probably has nothing new going on. Maybe Hula spilled coffee on the servers while trying to ban someone for no reason. :rolleyes:

a lot of the time when i go to log into vmk it wont even let me go to the log in screen, it just says the site is to bussy! and it stays like that for a while, and usually when that happenes i cant go on vmkf either! and it just makes me mad. it seems when there is like more than 8,000 people on it does that.. 0_o and sometimes when im in vmk it freezes up and when i get out of it and then try to log back in it says its to bussy!

Took me a minute to log on. I'm on now and can move from room to room but it never loads anything but the background. No people or anything. You try to click the NPCs for credits and it's not doing anything and letting you move on.
I finally have time to log on and I can't actualy play. I am sad :(

I'm trying to log in on VMK, but after I hit login i get a blank white screen. It's not the black screen that they refer to in the Help section, it's just white. Oh gosh, it isn't just me. Thought I might of deleted some important files when defragging my computer today and doing a disk cleanup.

And restarting my computer didn't work.

I was especially worried because I did a search for "atdmt" and found this out: "Atdmt is a tracking cookie that monitors your Internet activity and gathers your personal information as you surf the web. This information may be retrieved by the parent company, without your consent." (This is from a spyware removal company.) Does anybody know anything more about this? I just got on and it kicked me off.

VMK closed? In the middle of event? Baaaddd!!!

Just got Staff Alert message at 10:25pm (EDT) that reads: "Attention! VMK will be closing momentarily while we make some enhancements. Thanks for your patience."

And then a minute later the "Connection Error" message and the BSOD... :(

ERROR 41 is defined as a failure to plug in the dohickey to the whosamawhatsis causing the thingamabob to spin wildly out of control generating and sever backup in the dingallberry drive. It is recommended that when this occurs a good repetitive wipe and double flush of the system is in order. Until the server is flushed and clear, no start up procedure can occur.

I believe the cause of this crash was the item introduced into the Forbidden Temple river system by an unnamed guy which bore a striking resembalance to a Baby Ruth bar. The unidentified object lodged into the Jungle Cruise Ride system causing a major backup and the ERROR 41.

Thanks for this VERY complete explanation of why vmk is down. Now where is my dictionary to look up these new words. We can all learn new things about how computers work from Green.
