My favorite series of books is the Foundation books by Isaac Asimov. DoublethePop 06-28-2005, 10:46 PM I don't really like Harry Potter, it just doesn't seem credible(sp?), and also the movies and describtions in the book really creep me out. I really like A Series of Unfortunant Events because the characters seem real, I can connect to them in some way. Series of Unfortunate Events kind of creeps me out, and the Harry Potter charectors seem real and I connect with them :D Rogie 06-28-2005, 11:16 PM Dubliners (James Joyce), The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier and (Michael Chabon), and most Nabokov. Bruen 06-30-2005, 03:33 AM Forgotten Realms. More specifically R.A Salvatore and his continuing saga about Drizzt. Good stuff. sonofshine 06-30-2005, 03:37 AM hmm..Narnia is a good series and This Present Darkness is a GREAT book :D HP is cool too trstno1 06-30-2005, 03:51 AM Do I have to choose just one? I love a lot of the series already mention hear - Harry Potter, the Foundation series, Narnia. These are great because of the way the stories entertwine, how small details are important. I also love books with talented, smart, or otherwise special kids. My favorite book is, "A Prayor for Owen Meany," by John Irving, partly for those same reasons. Mr.Lunatix 06-30-2005, 03:59 AM Harry Potter Series Cirque Du Freak series maximaxi_823 06-30-2005, 04:48 AM I like the series Hp but the movies creep me out! figmentisback 06-30-2005, 03:11 PM Harry Potter Series..... FlyThenFall 07-01-2005, 01:32 AM My absolute most favorite book ever is To Kill a Mockingbird, one of the best pieces of American literature EVER! Harper Lee is amazing with what she does with the characters, and creates one of the most intriguing character arcs I have ever come across. I think I've read it 4 or 5 times, which is amazing because how many of you read the things you have to read in school over and over again! I also am a huge fan of all of Gregory Maguire's novels (He wrote Wicked among other things). Also I have to admit Shakespeare is my home boy. You know it! shiregirl 07-01-2005, 01:47 AM My absolute most favorite book ever is To Kill a Mockingbird, one of the best pieces of American literature EVER! What is amazing to me is that every single time I read it I have a completely different experience. This is a book you can grow with. What is so beautiful about it is how simply it is told. It is pure. I can't recommend the book highly enough. Lurid 07-01-2005, 01:56 AM I got to many........ FigmentJedi 07-01-2005, 02:02 AM Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Roverandom, the Bionicle novels and the Captain Underpants series. |
