How much memory does VMK take up to play? My computers been very slow...I have been deleting unused programs, but can i get any help?

Sometimes my computer says that the memory is full and my computer is new. So, VMK must take ALOT of memory.

I've had my computer for a while and i just showed memory being almost full for about a second...

i have a lot of memory i have a Dell Inspiration laptop and it is a cpu im happy with right now

When i played VMK with only 256 MB RAM(memory) i always got that message. A week or two ago I got a Gig of memory, and VMK opens in less than a second and when I hit the exit VMK button it doesn't even take a second to get back to the login screen.

If you are using a Mac, then you will need at least 1GB of RAM and even with that it is awfully slow IMO. I have a MacBook w/ 2GB of RAM and it can barely run VMK without much hiccups (but typing is impossible in VMK).

The reason is because Shockwave isn't made for the newer Mac computers, so the current computers have to emulate the older computers which just makes it painfully slow.

VMK takes about 200MB-400MB depending on what you are doing. I've noticed, while in the Haunted Mansion, mine is usually at about 372MB.

I have Windows XP Home Edition. With a Gig of memory.
