Hello, all I have been looking around and found some interesting things about Epcot and its future. So here are the rumors and alleged true speaks of Epcot:

-New Soarin Video Shot (Cast members who work at the attraction have confirmed this)
-Dream Finder Returns To Imagination! (A real hope for me)
-Wonders Of Life Pavillion Rehab Or Demolition
-Universe Of Energy Facelift With No Ellen (Really dont want this at all)

So these are a few rumors of Epcot some good some bad. Enjoy!

My brother works there and he said that they are taking out the sorcerer mickey's wand on the Epcot ball

the only thing I remember dlr( even though you're talking about wdw... i think ) taking out is a marble ball rolling in place but it had water around it.. and there were spitting gewsers that me and my cousins would step on and get wet ( we were 4 ) .. Sorry for the wrong typing, it's getting kinda late and i'm kinda tired

The big marble rolling in water is still there in DLR right in front of Honey I shrunk the audience and Innoventions

If that was 'confirmed' why would it be a rumor, and castmembers are not supposed to realse information unless it is clearly visbale something is in the works

Maybe Rehab, conceding it is one of the most, ' ill pass ' attractions/areas. Demoliation, i dont thinks so. Already has a couple of flicks in it, a show, and a ride..

Ehh. I dont think so, you cant really give much of a facelift to it..Plus everyone comes just to see Ellen in it..

It would be about time. It's only been there since either late 99 or early 2000. It used to have 2000 attached to it.

Yes, it is Originally called Spaceship Earth, but throughout the world it is most commonly known as ' The Ball, ' so she is kinda right. ;)

Well, the kiosks were gone as of two weeks ago, and the place where you get your picture taken was under refurbishment with the signs gone. It's also taken off of the park map. I'm really positive it's gone, not the monoliths though.

Im almost possitive that you can't buy a picture or spot there anymore, but the leave a legacy pictures are still there, they will be forever. You just can't buy them anymore.

but one time i asked to go to the wonders of life on the last day but we ended up going on another ride and my mom said we would go next YEAR

I agree. Universe Of Energy is one of my favorite Epcot rides. But The American Adventure That is my 45-1 hour (forgot how long it is) air conditioned nap :Pm. So boring, so dark, im so tired by then, heh.

Hey, i just watched a video online of some people playing the games during the queue for Soarin' in WDW. To me, it looks more like a "mess with your mind/kill time" kind of game.

Let me explain:

One of the games involves guiding a bird through a forest. At moments throughout the game, you will have the bird go left or right. The way the bird moves is by many people over in the line leaning in the same direction at once. How is one game controlled by at least 20-30 people doing the same action?

Another game involves hitting up balls in the air (don't know much about it other wise). There were quite a few balls, but who's actually hitting them out of the 20-30 people putting their hands in the air?

You see, just gets your mind off of the long line.

I dont know much about it, all i did was watch the video. When the screen said "lean left," they all leaned left. When balls bounced, they all tried to hit them.

Not really that film on soarin is outdated. If you notice it is Christmas at the end when really people riding in August this month with get confused as to why they have christmas lights everywhere. The whole point was not about California but about the thrill.

Actually, they are telling the truth. The Soarin' video has been confirmed, WOL is not confirmed but there is evidence of this happening on the internet. As for the other two, I think they might get rid of Ellen DeGeneres, and I'm not sure about Imagination.

Soarin' "might" get a new projection in the future.. but no one knows when since they are considering cloning the tech over to Paris.

There is no conformation on when, if , or what the imagination rehab could be... a lot of different ideas are being pitched all over imagineering. and it depends who gets the project as well.

Wonders of life's Dome is being gutted, removing signage and such to be used as a special events area, while sealing off the other 2 attractions from the dome, since its cheaper to do that right now.

Nope, ellen is staying for a while longer since she is popular and pop culture likes to stay, even though it is dated and not many kids know who bill nye is unless they have a nice school, They might update the movie to use different ideas, but thats blue sky.

WoL is certainly being gutted of most of it's contents. CC and Body Wars will remain, although the BW mural has been painted over. Also, the DNA strand, as of yesterday morning, was 3/4 of the way down. The WoL sign has been removed completely.

Although known for sometime, it has been confirmed that WoL will serve as a host pavillion for the Food and [you know what] Festival.

WOL has been closed for about what 2 - 3 years now? The removal of it was surely going to be soon :p About time EPCOT fixes up some of the trash :p

EDIT: Now MGM is next... I wonder how the new Pixar theme and Block Party Bash parade will turn out to be...

Those rumors were on ScreamScape. If they were on ScreamScape then they were not made up. The new Soarin video was confirmed, and they're not doing rehab on Wonders Of Life they ARE going to demolish it. the other two im not sure of though. There is also a rumor that they might make a Log flume ride in Canada, But they'll have to demolish O'Canada to do so. P.S. ScreamScape is a website that shows new things happening in Theme Parks.

Your wrong. O Canada is just getting a rehab and an update on the movie to make it more updated with what canada really is today. WOL is just being ''gutted'' for the beverage festival. Similar to the old cm party building was gutted for mellium stuff then that was gutted for flower and garden festival stuff. The oddsey was gutted for cm partys and recently it was re-opened. I am not sure for how long but I was just there afew days ago eating some food for old times sake :p
