princesgirl 07-04-2007, 04:57 AM ok so I really want to get a nitendo DS but I need more money. so when I get enough money I will buy the DS. I dont know anything about a DS so if you can.. help? and I need a list of good games and if you can please post some things I can do to get more money :)
princesgirl 07-04-2007, 05:30 AM thanks! but what does the DS Lite do what the normal DS cant do?
iShadow 07-04-2007, 05:35 AM I find that the DS Lite is nothing more than eye candy.
I bought the first DS (the gray/silver one) when it first came out. I just took care of it, and I never had a reason to replace it. Works like a charm.
But I guess most people were clumsy with theirs, and they broke it. But I never did.
I take pride in the fact I have a "classical" DS. I like calling it that. :D
princesgirl 07-04-2007, 05:37 AM oh.. but I think I will get a normal DS. its cheaper.. anyways is there certain games for them like this there games only for DS Lite?
princesgirl 07-04-2007, 05:41 AM ok yay! thanks everyone! I still need some good games for it!
iWhippedCream 07-04-2007, 05:52 AM Here are some good games:
Nintendogs
Cooking Mama
Catz (hehe still a little kid)
Final Fantasy II (It costs a lot)
Zelda
Wario (you know that game were it has weird chalenges)
Thats all I know thats good.
~Jazzy
Unlucky 07-04-2007, 10:02 AM I have a few (okay, more) game reccomendations:
New Super Mario Brothers
Cooking Mama
Pokemon: Pearl or Diamond
Animal Crossing
Sims 2: Petz
Yoshi's Island DS
Erm, can't think and the computer has to restart soon, so, I'll try to think of more later ^.^
mlg0721 07-04-2007, 10:19 AM i dont have one, but my brother does, and he has nintendogs and yoshi island i think. i know that the nintendogs one is really funn to play.
iShadow 07-04-2007, 10:56 AM For games, you should get:
Mario Kart DS
Pokemon Pearl/Diamond
(ANY) Nintendogs
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Super Mario 64 DS
Pokemon Dash
GreenGirlJess 07-04-2007, 02:00 PM I have a DS, and I truthfully I like it better. The lite is to big and boxy and bulky for me. -shrugs- That's my opinon.
I only own three of the games..
Nintendogs- Very fun, but can be a bit boring. Put off buying this one unless your a big animal/dog lover. Then it is great.
Animal Crossing: Wild World- My favorite. It is a very fun game, you can do many different things, and if you have wireless internet (wi-fi) you can visit people!
The Sims 2- Fun, but a bit annoying because you have tasks after tasks, and not like the regular Sims 2. But, it is still great.
These all just my opinons, don't hurt me. XD
crushandgush 07-04-2007, 02:03 PM i hae a ds lite. it cost the same as the regular ds. only its lighter, brighter, bigger stylus, and you can't accidently turn it off:)
iImagine 07-04-2007, 02:07 PM I had a regular DS but my sister's friend broke the hinge from the top to the screen. It still worked, but I alwasy hated the strange d-pad when it came to Mario Kart or "action" games. I got a DS Lite last October, and I prefer the lite.
There are no differences with the games.
PepsiOwns 07-04-2007, 02:13 PM Well, here's some games everyone can enjoy: Nintendogs,Cats,Dogs,Hamsters, etc.
and there's Diddy Kong Racing.
:D
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Are my favorite.I beat both of them. The storyline is a bit thin though..*shrugs*
Dizelise 07-04-2007, 02:20 PM I like the DS games:
Nintendogs
Animal Crossing: Wild World
And, you can search the Nintendo website for other games. :)
Astrogoldstar 07-05-2007, 05:50 PM I recommend Urbz Sim In The City its a pretty fun game although some of the missions can be confusing
TheCowgirl 07-05-2007, 06:00 PM Urbz is a good game.
My favorite games are:
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Final Fantasy III
NEW Super Mario Brothers
Harvest Moon: DS
I also have Diddy Kong Racing DS, Nintendogs: Dalmation and Friends, and The Sims 2: Petz, but I don't like 'em that much...
Jamarocker 07-05-2007, 06:04 PM I have the original Nintendo DS in blue, and I am just fine with it. I've had it for almost two years now, and I have had no problem with it. The power button is fine, I have only turned it off by accidence once during Animal Crossing, which you should not do. I only charge the battery once a week when it needs it, and it is fine to do that unless you play it all day.
I tend to lose the stylus at times because it slips out of the holder in the back, but if you do that just retrace your steps until you find it. I once found mine between the couch cushions. Now I have to be really careful when putting my DS down or moving it because of that reason.
I like the design of the Nintendo DS Lite much better, but if you are looking for something cheap go with the original. They are the same type, they just look different and have different features.
I suggest for games Nintendogs and Animal Crossing: Wild World for basic games. Nintendogs does get boring after a while though. Animal Crossing is a fun game and there is a lot to do in it. You have completed the game when you made the town nice with many trees, and you will become mayor. It takes a while to get to that though.

u have it mixed up the regular ds is the big bulky one the lite is the small sleeker designed one witch i say is better one bc it acually fits in your pocket ( so it does not look like u stole a dog ) and it just plain look better and for that post that said it cost 400+ in my state it cost 119.99 + .8 taxes :):):):):wave2::wave2::wave2::on2long8:
boyz804 07-05-2007, 06:22 PM Nintendogs is fun except when it goes into Japanese mode >_< That's what all my Nintendogs did to me. Super Princess Peach was fun until it went into Japanese mode. Hannah Montana is fun [No it did not go into Japanese mode!:)] I also got That's So Raven something of the something.I forgot what it's called haha. ACWW... I don't really understand. I have the Little Mermaid but haven't tried it yet. Oh yeah I also have The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody: Tipton Trouble. That game's fun. Then I have Pac-Man World 3, Flushed Away, and Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab. Most of them are fun.
iShadow 07-06-2007, 12:16 AM Urbz is a good game.
My favorite games are:
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Final Fantasy III
NEW Super Mario Brothers
Harvest Moon: DS
I also have Diddy Kong Racing DS, Nintendogs: Dalmation and Friends, and The Sims 2: Petz, but I don't like 'em that much...
There's a Harvest Moon for DS?
1girl2sweet 07-06-2007, 02:20 AM There's a Harvest Moon for DS?
Yes, there is. I believe your a girl in that version. Heh.
kefren 07-06-2007, 12:45 PM Nuh uh you have to be a boy in that version no questions I saw in a screenshot :P
AceLollipop 07-07-2007, 02:42 PM You can't go wrong with Mario games. :) I'd have to say Mario Kart is my favorite mario game for the DS.
I like the 'classic' DS better. I have a blue one. My brother has a black DS Lite. I like how it looks, and the screen is nicer. However I felt the buttons where odd to touch and a little too small. I also did not like where the start button was located. I feel it is too hard to get to if you need pause a game quickly.
The DS Lite looks better, but the old DS is easier to use imo.
Astrogoldstar 07-07-2007, 11:43 PM Ppl say Harvest Moon is really good but there's alot of glitches... Mostly Freezing
TheCowgirl 07-09-2007, 03:30 PM I think the glitches on HMDS are pretty funny, and only the older ones have the freezing glitches. Most of the other glitches are just the translation. I got my game a good 4-5 months ago and I haven't seen a freezing glitch.
princesgirl 07-09-2007, 11:40 PM ok so I saw a thing for DS that you can go on the internet but can you go on VMKF and VMK?
princesgirl 07-11-2007, 01:26 AM BUMP!!!!! please?
MagicMonkeys 07-11-2007, 01:29 AM Ratatouillie,definitely.
staticbill 07-11-2007, 02:25 AM Here is what I think of these games:
Animal Crossing: 5/5. This game never seems to get boring. There is tons of things to do, and it is fun.
Mario Kart: 4/5. Awesome game, but it gets boring racing the same track over and over again when you beat it.
Metroid Prime Hunters: 5/5. Very fun game, lots of action.
Brain Age: 4/5. We all have to test our brain once in a while, right? I think its only 20 bucks too.
Mario and Lughi(sp?) Partners in Time: 3/5. It is fun at first, but it seemed to get boring to me after a while.
NintendoDogs: 2/5: Now people might now agree with me, but it seemed to be Very boring after a while, I don't think its worth your money.
Hope this helps!
princesgirl 07-12-2007, 06:44 PM thanks! anyone else?
sktrchick95 07-16-2007, 11:22 PM for Sims 2: pets it get really boring after like a week so id rate it 1/5
but other then that you should go with the games that you see in stores and on tv that you would like to have and deffinetly get animal crossing it is majorly fun and there is always things to do even if you can't find something to do. i don't have it but me and my friend share are games all the time and her games are more fun then mine.
princesgirl 11-17-2007, 11:25 PM Bump! I totally forgot about this thread. Anyways I saw somthing online for the DS to go on the internet. But I read the revewis for it and it said it only works for DS Lite. Is that true?
Mooshu 11-17-2007, 11:34 PM Right now, i have a black lite. I used to have the red original one. (It was red cause it was from a bundle and it was special edition) My old one got dropped so many times, and my cousins broke it.
LUCKILY
I bought mine from a great store and I exchanged it for a lite.
I love how the stylus for the lite is longer =D
princesgirl 11-17-2007, 11:52 PM That's cool! What games do you play on your DS?
princesgirl 12-09-2007, 11:35 PM My mom said that she would get me a DS for christmas but is there any accessories I should get for it?

If you break the DS just send it to Nintendo of America ( California ) or Nintendo World ( New York ) and it will come back in 5 - 10 days.
TheMagicWithin 12-28-2007, 03:20 AM I have the Mario Party game. I beat the story mode in a week.
Matterz 12-28-2007, 03:26 AM Ways to get the DS:
xSnow=Shoveling.
-If you have snow around you.
Just go out onto your neighbors door.
And knock and kindly ask to shovel.
Make sure you know them, or have a guardion around.
xSell Candy!
-People will buy candy anywhere these days,
Buy a pack of some and determine a place to sell them.
Maybe a dollar a piece?
xCreativity!
-People around these time of holidays want cool stuff!
Design stuff, make it your own.
Set up a stand, or have a way of orders.
Charging them an equal value just about.
So you get a profit on your own rate of money.
(i.e/Lemonade, Beads -perler beads are fun and easy-, etc..)
Just go out there,
Write stuff down.
Get enough money to save for it! (:

princesgirl 12-31-2007, 09:15 PM BUUUUUMMMMMMMMPPPPPPP!!
Mooshu 12-31-2007, 11:14 PM The games I've had for the DS are:
Mario Kart
New Super Mario Bros.
Nintendogs
Yoshi Island DS
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: March of the Minis
:104:
____________
Mario Kart: 5/5 To me, this is a very interesting game and it's fun too.
New Super Mario Bros: 5/5 It's fun and easy!
Nintendogs: 2/5 I kinda regret buying it.. it got reeeaally boring. :shifty:
Yoshi Island DS: 4/5 It's challenging, and fun, but sometimes too hard. Plus you have to read too much stuff for the introductions.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: March of the Minis: 4/5 It's pretty easy.

What does cooking mama do?
Mooshu 01-03-2008, 08:31 PM Egad! My cousin has Cooking Mama. Everytime she brings it to my house, I'm playing it nonstop.
It's so totally gnarly..
In the game, they give you dishes to make and you have to do all the preparations and cook the food.
Then they rate you on how you did the preparations.
You should get it... it's purty cool.
