Woot, I will be going to Disney World in August and I wanted to see what I could do!

Here are my dad's requirements:
We have to drive there. (ARG)
We can't stay in Disney Hotels. (He doesn't like them, I have no idea why)
Only 3 or 4 parks.
Only going for 4 days, and the rest is just vacation in Florida.

So I'm wondering, are there other good reasonable hotels that are in Orlando?? My dad said the hotel can only be $125 per night.....(Eh, he's cheap)

I can't really decide which parks to go. I really really wanna go to the water parks, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. I also wanna go to Magic Kingdom. But if he lets us go to a 4th park, I don't know if I should go to MGM Studios, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom....

Also I need tips on what to do for 2 days in a van......I don't like road trips that much but my dad keeps saying going on the plane is a waste of time and is expensive. He also says it's not about just Disney World...it's about getting there. @_@

I've only come up with:
iPod
Sleeping
Eating

And that's it so far....O_o

Also the hotel has to have my family's requirements:
Pool
Beach Nearby
Room Service
Decent Rooms
Fitness Center

We'll probably stay there for 6 days, I guess 4 for the parks and 2 days left over. So I don't know what to do for the other 2 days. I asked if we could go to Universal Studios or Seaworld on 1 of those days, but my dad said that would be too expensive. The only thing I have come with is to just look around at places and go to the beach.

For Disney World, exactly what VMK Rewards can I get from there, and which quests are available?

I need some ratings for the parks and rides.

Well that was a lot, I would appreciate it a lot if you could help, thanks!

As for hotels go i think it's sort of asking for alot. In the orlando area their is not that many beaches. For beaches it's more like way more South FL. Believe me i live in FL and i go to Orlando every year once or twice so i know. I will tell you the chances of finding a beach with the price range of the hotel is going to be hard not really difficult but just hard. For real nice beaches South FL is where to go. As for hotel's i stay at some really good 1's that are great prices. My parent's don't go to the Disney one's because it's too much money for these little rooms. My cousin stays at them and they buy 1 room for $80 a night that has 2 beds and a bathroom. When you can get a non-disney resort for the same price with kitchen, 1 or 2 bathrooms. And has 2 queen size beds in one room and in the other has a sofa bed with a murphy bed and a TV. So we prefer non-disney. Unless we are rich and can afford the Animal Kingdom 1 then are other place to go is non-disney. I know a really great one with like i said has 1 bathroom, 1 small kitchen with small fridge, sink and microwave with counter to eat then it has a sofa bed with a murphy bed (The bed's that come out of the wall) with a TV. Then the other room has 2 queen size beds and a little dining table. I love that hotel personally because you can go home from the parks and relax. It doesn't have central air it has those big air conditioners which i love (lol) but be careful get some blankets cause it gets cold! And the room you have to ask for is the 2 room suite and it's 85-100 dollars a night depends on the season or time of year i guess and it's called Seralago Hotel! I love it there. It has a pool. But there is no room service. Me and my family can care less about room service because we are barely at the hotel so we don't need it really. And i'm not sure about the fitness center. I'm sure you can look it up. It's the only Seralago hotel in Orlando i think... it use to be a Holiday Inn but they changed it. Believe me it's not like one of those cheapy motels. It's super spacious! Here is the adress and stuff

Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East
5678 W Irlo Bronson Memorial
Kissimmee, FL 34746
800-246-8357

I think that's the one i stay in lol but i know it's Seralago! That's my recommendation. If you go to hotels.com or something i am sure it will tell you what it has. I think it has a fitness center.

Yea your dad is getting ripped off. You can stay in Pop Centry or All Star (A DISNEY RESORT) for $82 a night. So your getting ripped off at $125 a night.

I know I told him a few hotels there are only like $85 per night. He said they just make it look good but the rooms are bad quality....and he's never even been there! @_@

I think you should go to Epcot as your alternative place, because it has the most stuff, other that Magic Kingdom. I don't suggest going there if you have little brothers or sisters that are like 3rd grade or under. I hated Epcot when I went to WDW when I was in 2nd grade. When I was there in 5th grade I absolutely loved it. Your call.

Personally, I say skip MGM and Animal Kingdom if you have been there before, unless you absolutely must go check them out.

To me, going to WDW and not staying in a Disney Hotel takes away some of the Disney magic.

If you must skip one park, Animal Kingdom is the one to skip. Bring billions of books to read! That's what I do!

Take it from the girl who goes to WDW five times a year!

I think you should skip MGM and go to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Epcot!

P.S. Tell your dad about the Pop Century and All Star Resorts at Disney. They are priced at $82 a night and you can still get the "Extra Magic Hours!"

Yeah, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are almost similar. Their only differences are BB's Summit Plummit, and TL's awesome wave pool.

Magic Kingdom: Excellent!.. A must..

MGM Studios: good!.. Star Tours, Rock and roller coaster, ToT, Animation area

Staying on property saves on the drive and parking fee. Value resorts are great.

I've never been to the water parks, but I have been to all of the parks. The two parks that I would HAVE to go back to are EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. MGM only has like 3 things that are really worth doing. The thing I don't like about Animal Kingdom is that it closes really early, so you're basically stuck doing nothing the rest of the day. If I could choose 3 parks, it would have to be EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. Don't go to Universal, it's nothing compared to WDW. SeaWorld is good though :)

I would suggest
Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
And if you really love water then both water parks.

But MGM is all about shows the only ride there is like Tower Of Terror, the rest you just sit down in a slow moving ride watching a show with super long lines. But you do get to see Gold Turnstiles plus Gold and Velvet Rope Dividers in real life.

My best advice is to not try to complete any park, excepting Disney MGM Studios, in one day. Take time to savour the places, especially the World Showcase at Epcot and Asia at Animal Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom has the most rides, expect to spend most of your time here even if you don't plan on it. The park is also open the latest of the four on most nights.

Epcot has some great attractions, as does Animal Kingdom. Make sure to hit the "bigger" attractions at both at least twice if you can.

So I'm wondering, are there other good reasonable hotels that are in Orlando?? My dad said the hotel can only be $125 per night.....(Eh, he's cheap)
Theres many resonable hotels in Orlando. Theres a very good Mariott Hotel at Lake Beuna Vista, just a few metres away from Downtown Disney. I am also going to Orlando again in August for 25 nights. You can check out the hotels here at Marriots Site (http://www.marriott.com/default.mi). There's a few in the area, and another one we stayed at is the Fairfield Inn. Not a very nice name, but an excellent hotel. Very cheap too. $125 per night is a lot of money. Why pay it? This (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mcolz-fairfield-inn-orlando-lake-buena-vista-in-the-marriott-village/) is the one we stayed at, at Easter. It was very good.

Been to WDW going on around 15 times, so I've built up quite a good knowledge of the parks and general Disney. Of course, my favorite Disney park is probably Magic Kingdom. Other than TL, BB, and MK, it's really your choice at the end of the day. You need to ask yourself whether you prefer Animals and Helping the Environment at Animal Kingdom, or visiting different countries around the world, learning about different culters and seeing things that could be here in the future. Nobody can really make that choice for you. If it was me, I'd choose EPCOT. I love the park, big rides, and I love the future. Animal Kingdom is fun, but less rides, and more seeing animals. Which is still fun, but I prefer EPCOT.

Also I need tips on what to do for 2 days in a van......I don't like road trips that much but my dad keeps saying going on the plane is a waste of time and is expensive. He also says it's not about just Disney World...it's about getting there. @_@

I've only come up with:
iPod

Traveling in a car? Eeek! Do you get travel sick? If so, take tablets before you travel, and try to avoid reading. Reading while moving can give you a headache, and cause you to feel sick. Listening to music is probably the best option, or maybe buying a portable DVD player? They are quite cheap, and you could buy one with the money you're saving on the hotel.

Also the hotel has to have my family's requirements:
Pool
Beach Nearby
Room Service
Decent Rooms
Fitness Center
Sure, It has a very nice pool, again, check out the Marriott site. Not many beaches around Central Florida and Orlando, but if you're going to the Water Parks, they have sand! Room Service, yes. Decent Rooms, yes. Fitness Center, yes.

We'll probably stay there for 6 days, I guess 4 for the parks and 2 days left over. So I don't know what to do for the other 2 days. I asked if we could go to Universal Studios or Seaworld on 1 of those days, but my dad said that would be too expensive. Sea World and Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure rock! If they are totally and utterly out of the question, I suggest checking out some of the shopping malls. There's the Premium Outlet alongside the I4, and also on the same road as the Fairfield Inn. Check out this site (http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=17) for our top shopping area. Downtown Disney is great too!

For Disney World, exactly what VMK Rewards can I get from there, and which quests are available?
Current Quests at the Magic Kingdom are:

Tomorrowland Quest (Win Red Space Suit Magic)
Thrill Seeker Quest (Win Thrill Seeker Couch, Animal Kingdom Guest Room, and Thrill Seeker Pin. Must get this quest stamped at Animal Kingdom though)
High School Musical Quest (Win HSM Guest Room and HSM Piano)
POTC Treasure Hunt Quest (Win Pirate Fortress Guest Room)
Disney Animation Quest (Win Animation Viewer)

Some can be printed off on the Main VMK Site (http://vmk.disney.go.com/vmk/en_US/parks/index?name=QuestsPage), and others can be picked up in park. Answers and Questions can be found on the Disneys Online Worlds, along with other good information about the quests!

The water parks really do ROCK! I love them all, especially the big wave pools. I really think you'll like them, but don't forget your sunscreen! They are well worth your money, as all the others are. You might want to consider getting one of the passes, 7-Day Hoppers are well worth your money. Check out information on the parks on these links:

Hope I helped you here, lots to read, but you got there in the end.
Have fun on your trip!

Im going to be going in late july and going into august, so i know about this time of year..

OK, I know all about the Orlando Area.. orangelake.com

We always stay are Orange Lake Country Club, it is amazing! It has 3 MAIN/BIG pool areas, Room Service, about 3 fitness clubs, There is a lake there, where you can do water sports, it's a sandy lake kinda. You can grill there too. Its sweet. The rooms are very spacious, you can get a studio from
120 - 140 a night, it matters when you are going. they are very nice. It is very close to WDW, Animal Kindgom is right behind it, you can see Expedtion Everest, Tree Of life, and AKL, from the front. There is so much more, plus great places to eat, and a Supermarket, next door!

Beaches, are like non-existant in orlando, but they are in driving distance..

Magic Kingdom: Good/Excellent - kinda kidish, but its a classic. MUST HIT.
Animal Kingdom: Bad/Average - I dont like it much, kinda boring..SKIP THIS.
If you are doing thirll seekers quest, just say, "I could not find the stamper!"
They will give it to you anyway..
Epcot:Good More of learning experience.
MGM Studios:Average
Blizzard Beach: Excellent - if you like slides.
Typhoon Lagoon: Average - The only GREAT Thing is the wave pool, and it can be for most people TOO MUCH..
