I got my MacBook (2.16Ghz, 1GB, 120GB HD) a week or two ago and I just want to post my experience.

To install Shockwave you need to run Safari in Rosetta because it isn't a universal application (i.e., it runs slow). When I first logged into VMK it took forever (which is understandable), but each time it takes the same amount of time! VMK itself was very sluggish and laggy. I couldn't even play pirates with all the lag. It was manageable for chit-chat, but nothing more. I since have upgraded to 2GB of RAM and the performance is better (close to native).

I haven't been able to run Vista on it yet (why would I want to ruin a perfectly good computer? lol) But I plan on getting a copy soon.

VMK is ok for me. It's not terribly slow, so I can play games. It's so annoying when I chat though, because when I type, the letters show up one-by-one, about every second, so it takes forever to send a simple message.

Yeah, now I can play pirates with little trouble, but it is almost impossible for me to double click with an external mouse because it registers it too slowly, so I can't blow up.

Have any of you tried running it on parallels?

No, I don't have parallels... I like Mac more than Windows...

Yea, but it runs as a small separate window. So you can still use all your mac programs and stuff and have a separate window of Windows to use vmk. I haven't tried it, but it might work?

Yes it is, but I prefer boot camp as it can run windows so you don't have to run mac at the same time, this is one of the reasons I do not like macs, VMK =lag, you can have better luck on the G5 processors than on the Intels 0_o
