Everyone keeps a pretty active life these days and it's hard to remember everything you need to do. We all know that VMK has lots of official events that occur daily. Most of the time a member of VMKF or a mod/admin will add these events to our calendar to keep everyone up-to-date so we don't forget them. Often, a user will add a personal event, or add events for their player created mini-games, or quests. To help with everyone's busy lifestyle, we've decided to add a private personal calendar for all users. You will only be able to see your own events and no one else's.
The Default Calendar has been renamed to VMKF's Calendar to hinder any confusions of which calendar you are currently viewing. A "Your Private Calendar" has been created. Just go to Calendar (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/calendar.php) (which is also located at the bottom of the main forums page (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/)) and in the lower right hand corner of the page is a drop down menu to select which calendar you wish to view. If you select on Your Private Calendar, you will note there are no birthdays or other events. Just Holiday events listed. If you click on the add event option, you can begin adding your own personal private events to your calendar. Your events will be displayed at the bottom of the forums when they occur with our normal calendar's events, but only you will be able to view your personal events listed there. They are completely hidden to other users insure privacy.
You can then click on your events and add reminders to them. An event reminder is sent via e-mail to you at the time you specify. It will also appear in your UserCP under Event Reminders (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/calendar.php?do=viewreminder). So if you use this, it'll be a lot harder to forget about meeting a friend on VMK, making a scheduled trade, or any other event you might add to it.
Please note, VMKF's Calendar is moderated. Meaning a mod/admin must approve each event added to the public calendar. Your Private Calendar is unmoderated since you are the only one able to view it or even know of its' existence.
