Not sure.. Its really your choice.. To bad they removed the DLR Quest =[[ It would be alot better finding other VMK people there. But I think innoventions is still up and they have two VMK Sections..

- VMK Frontierland Place

Their two themed areas where they advertise VMK and you will most likely find VMK Players there :)

The real world is completely different from the internet. For example, in real life, kids are kids and adults are adults. You would know you could probably trust kids your age. But if a scary looking adult came up to you and asked "Where do you live?!" it might be hard to answer him.

To put it simply, it's easier to know who you're talking to when they're standing right in front of you.

This is my personal opinion - no, this is not a safe thing to do.

It might be fun... it might be a great way to meet people in realspace that you only knew on VMK... but it is also creating a link between the real and online worlds that might not be a safe thing to do. You're not providing personal information that can be used against you online and vice versa.

Yes, but far less safe. Online, I can give you information and it might not relate to anything in the real world. Thats a buffer that I can use for safety. And VMK increases that buffer by not allowing certain topics to be discussed.

In the real world - you don't have that. While you might be able to see more about the people you meet, they can get far more information about you, too. And putting the two together can cause more trouble.

Unless there is a good reason for you to advertise this (and there are good reasons, I'll admit that) - I would keep your VMK/VMKF lives and your realspace lives separate in as many ways as possible.

I'll end this with an official mod statement, however: If you do this, you're not allowed to provide this information on this forum. Remember that you should not provide dates you'll be traveling to parks, or any way to find you in the parks on those days, and this includes that you'll be wearing a t-shirt. I'll allow this discussion because of the safety issues it is raising and because there is no specific information attached - but no further details should be discussed here or elsewhere.

I would go with Prisoner i mean i would never do it it endagers u and maybe even your family i recommend u not to do it because if the know that information they can go on vmk and try to find u there and become friends with you and then find personal info like i have a soccer game(i dont) and they might search for soccer games that are happening at that time and then they might find u

Its perfectly safe in my opinion. Its not like your giving out your name or anything, your just saying who you are on VMK. If someone comes up to you you would need to be able to not tell them your name and stuff. Also for the ones who said how many looks your gonna get, the disney restorts are different from the rest of the world. You can wear a lanyard full of disney pins and Mickey Ears without getting any weird looks. After you leave, your gonna get some weird ones in the real world but not at the parks

Gonna add in my opinion here.
1) How many people play VMK that will be in DLR on that very day, very hour, very minute, very second right infront of you?
2) Are the Cast Members gonna take your shirt off you?
3) You can buy shirts from Disney Shopping Online with the VMK Logo and your VMK Name.
4) You can buy bags / hats / shirts from this fan site with your VMK Name on.

I bought a magnetic, electronic screen that turns into a name badge for your shirt. I got it from MGM. First thing I did, set it to say "StitchMad on VMK". You have that person right in front of you. It's Disney. They're not gonna do anything are they? You can meet someone in VMK Central and you can tell them your name in game. Why should a shirt be any different?
I say wear your shirt and meet some new people. I will be on my next vacation. Get in there!

EDIT: I'm also gonnna add in here that.. why should VMK be only for YOU? VMK is so independent. You're not allowed to meet in real, or even talk out of VMK. Why oh why does VMK have to be so independent? Let your hair down for a day or two. Wear your shirt, see if anyone says Hi :)

I dunno.. It really doesn't sound too bad of an idea, but I still wouldn't do it. I just wouldn't have a very good feeling about it, even though I may not have a reason not to, if ya know what I mean.

Like some other users said, you can always go to the little VMK areas in Innoventions to meet some VMK players.

Well, its almost been about 3-4 months since I went but I ended up not doing it ;)
