View Full Version : Should I move to Florida?
sonofshine 06-28-2005, 05:56 AM Ok guys and gals! My mom could be getting a job in Tampa! She said that I get to choose whether we stay here or go because my mom and dad are divorced (they married again with other ppl:)) and my dad won't want to move to Florida.
Alot of my family and friends are in TN, but I am going to move to Florida for college when i am older anyways, and if you have lived in Florida for 2 years it is usualy cheaper. MY mom says they will fly me to TN to see my 'ohana' a whole lot, and i will be really close to WDW, but i will miss my friends and i hate going to a new school.
What do you guys think?
Indychick 06-28-2005, 06:01 AM Gosh shine, that is a tough decision! I think it is something you should decide on your own! I guess it depends on what year in school you are in and how easy it is for you to adapt to new situations. I know that I hated moving when I was in school. Whatever you do, good luck! I am sure you will make the right decision for yourself! :)
this is a toughy.... *twitches and has flashback of all good times* if i had this choice it would be really hard i would have to choose between leaving all the good times and disney, one of the best cool things in my life. i dont kno about this one, i dont think ill vote :D
Taryn 06-28-2005, 06:03 AM I say you go to Florida! Who needs friends when you have 5 foot tall, verbally challenged strangers dressed like Mickey Mouse to hang out with?!?!?! But seriously, if your parents are going to send you back home all the time to see family, you could always see your friends at the same time. Also, making new friends isn't the worst thing in the world- when I moved, I thought I was going to DIE, but then I made the best friends ever here in Washington, and I am sooooo thankful I moved. Plus, as you said, in state tuition would ROCK!

jedimaster 06-28-2005, 03:41 PM I moved exactly 3 years ago from Mexico (I lived there for 7 years) It was sad moving away from my family and just 3 days before that my grandfather died so It was really hard. I did not miss the country because as you see in the news it is very un safe.I adapeted to my new school really fast and now I even created a goofy club that me and my friends do douring reces.
It was very hard for me because I had just lost my grandfather and there wasnt really anything I liked in my new home. But you you would be able to go to disney world and probably make many friends and you can email your old ones.
hope I helped.
ps
now i do like my home very much
