Chapter 1
I was the new girl, the outcast, and the freaky weirdo girl. So maybe I was just like a tad of different from the other girls -okay, okay, a lot. I wanted so much to make a friend, but then again I didn't know how. I was home schooled and moved here from Pennsylvania, and moving to California had been the last thing I wanted to do. Dad is a teacher, but not in my school.
This place is called Horizen Middle School, and I am scared about these other girls. They call themselves the Cool Kats, stupid name I know, and they always "diss" me as they like to say. Well one day I went up to one to try and communicate in a friendly way. "Hey!" I greeted them with a kind-hearted manner. "Uhm... Hi?" She said. Without even being asked I told her my name. "My name is Tabbatha, but I like to be called Tabby!" She gave me a look. "Right..." And then trotted away with her group. I hoped I would fit in.

The next day I was skateboarding around the school and this girl walked up to me. "Hey," She casually said her hands in her pockets. "Oh hi, what makes you notice me? Nobody ever does." I told this person who was suddenly interested in speaking to me. "Oh you know, just,- I like skateboards." She stutterd. I learned her name was Samantha and we became friends. She was shy but girly when she had to be and the prom was almost near. "Sam," I said 3 days before the prom. "Nobody has asked me yet and I have no idea how to dress for it!" I was panicking fast. "I'll give you a makeover you won't forget!" And I know you like Jason, so ask em'. She reasurred me. I cringed at the idea of a makeover, but I knew it had to be done.
