People have been saying that cast members are handing these out while people are waiting in line. There was no reward card given though. Just for entertainment. Wonder if this was supposed to be a new quest for VMK Central at DLR. :6z:

It would have been a unique quest, if there was still a place to redeem it.

might have been some quest for the pin, along with other items...possibly the middle piece even.

Don't know what this is, what any reward was, but it's being sold on (bleeped). This is the best pic I can get. Looking for info and maybe a better look.

Uhm, now I am deeply confused. Why would VMK Do this when there is no VMK QUEST KIOSK anymore at Disneylwand. It looks valid. Very Interesting. If this is true, VMK has brought what looks like a new type of quest to the parks. Still confusing. Maybe ask the seller a question?

It is a quest-like booklet being handed out to those waiting in the line for the new Subs ride. There are no VMK cards/prizes/codes associated with it.

Oh ok. Well this is a first... VMK has added a Quest that does not reward a prize at all! WOO HOO!

the word quest could be edited there.. it seems like a flyer to me..
Anyway.. there are still quest for WDW but I guess we'd know about it reading on the vmk page

Well gabyta, it does have the word "quest" right on the front side. WDW will never get this, unfortunately. They need the Finding Nemo ride to have it I guess.

The VMK team probably had a few quests/events at DLR planned out. With DLR recently losing their quests, it's possible that a few of their ideas might have been delayed, cancelled, or changed. Looks like Nemo could have been the missing cards on the DLR Series 3. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me that the "bug" from the Nemo game is ALSO a result from DLR losing their quests. They are probably having to shuffle the prizes around at this time to get them out. I am curious about what the original "prize" from the quest would have been. Poor VMK team, I'm sure this mess isn't easy to deal with.

*cough* EPCOT *cough*

Did you forget about The Seas with Nemo and Friends?

Oops, forgot about that one there, but how would they tie it back into the Magic Kingdom. The quests that span both parks there have had parts that include questions for the same theme, but in both parks. So yeah what do you do there?

They wouldnt have too. But if they did, they could do it for the Jungle Cruise or Splash mountian. Those are the only two water/animal rides I can think of

That could always change. They could easily make it a Epcot only quest and have you turn it in at MK. Or they could make it so you have to visit Epcot Living Seas and the Nemo show at Animal Kingdom and then still have to go to MK.

I went and looked for that auction and it seems there is a picture of the back of the brochure. Near the bottom I see two lines that look almost like they could be codes or where codes might have gone. One of you DLR people need to round one up and get some better pictures (for the WIKI!). Lol. :D

((MOD EDIT: SOMEONE HAD POSTED A LINK TO THE PHOTO ABOVE))

Thanks, now I can read the fine print under the answer key. It mentions that the quest is valid through Sept. 2008. Kinda strange if there were no cards given with it. What part of the quest would expire? LOL. Also it mentions that the cards and prizes are not to be sold and have no cash value. Me thinks they changed to format of this "quest" when they made the big change.

It does say on it to play the game at ... and get prizes and codes .
So this may have been a quest they altered to become a handout or was always this, as a tie in to the nemo online game.

The scans show a Quest #1, but the picture on this thread shows a Quest #3. There are different ones, I'm assuming.

Now that I have merged the threads it appears that the large one is Quest#1 and the smaller photo is Quest #3

Interesting :) one can only wonder what they were originally going to be for and what wonderous and exciting prizes were going to be given out! The other Nemo Pins? The Middle Sub part?

Just a bad scan. The quest on the cover is Quest #1, and the quest on the inside is Quest #2.

They were handing these out when we were in line on Thursday to ride the ride.
I read everything on it while waiting (almost 1 1/2 hr!).
It looks just like everything that's normally on a quest. Only the answers are on the back upside down.
When my boys first saw someone holding one in line before we got some for ourselves they were soooooo excited that there was a new VMK quest. When I reminded them that there were no more quests at Disneyland to get cards from they were heartbroken :(

The Thrill Seekers Quest is in Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. So having the one in Epcot isn't crazy.

Well, I have not received one while I was in line this morning. Although, 7AM Early Entrance -- (No Wait on Space Mountain, WOOT) 1hr 30min Nemo Wait.. not bad so I dont know. Maybe on the 4hr 30 min wait one.

They don't hand them out to everyone. You have to find a CM with them, and ask for it.

From what I've gathered and discovered this was most likely supposed to be a quest and they changed it a bit to being a "activity pack" to pass time and an advertisement for VMK.

I believe that it was suppose to be a quest, because in the fine print at the bottom it states::

Seperate Disneyland© Park admission required. Quest valid through September 30, 2008. Subject to restrictions and change. Quest cards and prizes may not be sold or transfered and have no cash value. For more information go to www.vmk.com ©DisneyPixar ©Disney

Well, according to the latest newsletter, looks as though this quest is about to go live. Yavn states cards will be handed out late next week for the Submarine middles. Not sure if the cards are included in the booklet or not, because I know the queue is not set up to check quests.

I was at Disneyland yesterday. No cards yet. AND, I do NOT believe this was intended as an official quest and switched to a promotional flyer, as some have been saying. There's no bar code for scanning on the flyer.

By the way, the submarine line was 180 minutes, according to the signs. We decided we didn't need to go on it yet. LOL

No, just the booth.

The new Nemo Quest is up, with card. Scans here (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119995).

I think the prizes of the quest are the Submarine Middle Pieces. Sorry if this was already answered, but I didn't go through all the conversations. I heard on VMK that now the only way to get the Submarine Middle Pieces is by going to DLR. But how would you get them without doing a Quest/Buying them?

I was chatting with my friend TheMetal about this and we're very curious. Will VMK somehow get back into the DLR business?

Sorry if this is off topic, but does anyone know the true reason VMK seperated from the Disneyland Park? Was it become of a Money issue or something else? You can either post or PM me with the answer if you please :)

Ah i just came across this. So is it like the wells where they are out for anyone to take several? If they are, wow, another boo in my eyes. Hopefully they come up with a Room or something that's actually exciting besides something that was already released. I'm really depressed with the things VMK are coming out with. A Churro Cart that does nothing but sit there, and now an already popular piece released again. Sigh, does anyone agree with me? I mean i know that they're doing a very good job keeping the whole program mantained but it seems to me like they're slacking?

Not exactly. The CMs hold them, and you have to ask. There is no place for them to be left out. But yes, they will become pretty common.
