From Ordinary, To Extraordinary
Chapter 1
I, Lexie Turner, am officially sick of people who think their "popular". I mean seriously, the words "Be jealous, I am so better then you" are my least favorite in the world! And all those stereotypical "preppy" people who wear the store name across their chest obviously think that they are richer then you because that's the dumb shirt off the clearance rack is $30. No. I don't think so. Messy ponytail, no, that looks really bad, and everyone who say, "Hey, Lexie, sing (put the dumbest song on the planet here) and you will be popular!" No. Not going to happen. You can go ahead and do that, but you won't see me embarrasing myself and acting like a fool. No. This goes to show you, I am not the most popular person in my school. So therefor, I am treated like trash. It is the last day of school and half my homeroom class claim they don't even know my name. I think they do. They've heard me be called on in Math for every single problem because nobody else would wise up and answer two plus two.
I just wish that everything one day would change. One day, I would wake up and be in a better home, a better school, and not be the bottom of the haystack when it comes to friends. This is where my whole story begins. When things do change, but when they do, it goes over the top. The story that changed my life, and everyone else's.
Chapter 2
Wake up, get dressed, and go to school. For the last time, the pattern that went on for 180 horrible days at a horrorable place that they call school. I did my normal routine. I brushed my silky long black hair. Put the normal clothes on for summer (t-shirt and shorts). Eat breakfast, and walk down to the bus stop. But did I hate the bus stop. Unfortunatly where I lived, there were all the so-called "popular" people who I certainly do not care for. That is why I hate where I live. Because everyday at the bus stop, rude and non-respectful peers either toss my glasses in the air, or throw my backback far enough into the street that a car could run over it. I am not the fastest runner either, so the odds were very high that a car can run over it and my stuff would be ruined. And they would also taunt me, since I was indeed smarted then they were. Today, being the last day of school, I am not going to let any of that happen.
I was at the bus stop, and just the usual happened. The Brown twins, the people I mostly hate, consisting of the stuck-up and pure evil Ashley, and Meghan Brown. Ashley being the grade taunter, and Meghan being the fashion taunter. Today, I thought was one of those days when things would just change.
"Oh look, it's our good friend Lexie!" Ashley said. Everyone there laughed, their very snobby laugh.
"Oh look it's my mirror-breaking friend Ashley!" I said, and had my own smile.
"I wouldn't be talking! Where'd you get your clothes this time, the consignment store?" Meghan said. Everyone, again, had their own very snobby laugh. It was funny because every time one of the Brown twins cracked a "joke", it was like the twins were just asking for them to laugh, they didn't really care for it.
"Where'd you get yours? The trash can from the consignment store?" I replied. As you can see, this will be my war, and I shall win it.
"Okay, I think I had enough of you." Ashley said, about to hit me. I held her fist, in anger.
"I don't think so and- " I said, but the bus arrived, I had to get the seat in the front. They don't usually sit there. So I ran and pushed everyone aside to get on the bus. They get really mad when I do that, so I do it anyway.
"I am not throught with you yet, I will get you back today. You better watch out.." Ashley smirked at me as she passed my seat on the bus.
"Oh I think you are." I replied.
The bus arrived at the school. I sighed after I got off the bus. As they say, another day, another sorrow.
I got into my homeroom class. With the math teacher, who is very into being annoying, and weird-like, it's scary. He looked upset because it was the last day of school, and he claims he is going to "miss his students". I doubt that. Nobody stands annoying and misbehaving people for 180 days. But there are always possibilities.
Homeroom and 1st period was over. The few people who are my friends that I have in only that period, came over and said their goodbyes. I would miss them as well, I don't live near where they do. So I won't be able to see them that often over the summer. And next was lunch - unfortunatly.
Ashley Brown came over to my table, still all in a hissy fit after I told her off earlier, at the bus stop.
"So you came back for more, huh?" I said.
"Listen Lexie, I am up here," She made her little hand motion for pointing up, it was very funny, "And you are down here." She again, made her little hand motion going down, it was hilarious the way she did it. I burst out laughing.
"Why are you laughing?!" Ashley screamed.
"It's hilarious how you actually think I was listening to you." I said, still laughing. And then she started stumbling over words, screaming at me.
"But! No! But! But!" Ashley screamed, still having a hissy fit. The lunch monitor walked by her and told her to go sit down at her own lunch table. Everyone laughed, except Meghan. She came by to slap me. An "Ouch!" wouldn't do anything, any impact on how angry I was.
The rest of the day I didn't talk, at all. There was nobody to talk to. I only wanted to go home, and have summer start. But the rest of the day, rolled by majorly fast.
Chapter 3
School ended and the bus dropped me off at the bus stop. But, since the library was near, I just figured I would go there, since the people who I don't like, wouldn't dare to go there.
I called my mom to tell her, and then I left. When I arrived there, I looked for a book to read this summer that would entertain me instead of being bored most of the time.
I found a strange book on the shelf. I picked it up, the title is "Change". The author was everyone. And to get any weirder, the illustrator was Lexie Turner, me. The book was desgined like a spellbook from Harry Potter. Or medevil times style. It had an opened lock to it on the side. So it would be read by people in the library. But, how could it be illustrated by me? I can't draw, and I never even heard of it before. Also, how could it be written by everyone? Isn't there a more precisive author to it?
I took the book to the lirbrarian. She said she never seen it on the shelves before. But she said that I should look at it. I to the seating area and sat down. The librarian was watching me. I opened the book, the librarian walked closer to me. At the first page it read "Chapter One: How to get Started With the way you want it to change". I read on and it read "Step One: Getting Your librarian". Strange. I came over to the librarian.
"What do you know about this?" I asked.
"Hmm? I don't know what your talking about." The Librarian smiled. "Okay, Lexie-"
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"Lucky guess?" The librarian answered.
"Yeah, sure."
"Ok, Ok, I have been watching you recently. And I figured you would need that book." The librarian answered.
"Watching me? How are you watching me? What's your name?" I asked.
"I will answer the first two later, you can call me, Mrs. Itsthat."
"What kind of name is that?!" I asked.
"A name that is mine." Mrs. Itsthat answered, "So heard that you want to have some change around here? Correct?"
I nodded.
That's all I have right now, but I will post more soon. This will give you a scence of what it's about.
