I miss the old HalloweenTown movies that they did every halloween. And Don't Look Under the Bed. Such good DCOM movies. The last two HalloweenTowns were atrocious. They need to go back to making classics. Musicals are nice and all, but hey, I don't sing on Halloween. I like a good scare and treat;)

The only way Haunted High School Musical 3 will work in any way is if they hire Danny Elfman.

Anyways, judging by the commercials for the second movie..."It's in the country club that blah blah blah, and and what's his face own." From that... you can tell it's gonna be horrible. That actually would make me interested in the film. Elfman has certainly proved himself capable for dark musicals. And even though this is a kids movie, the more mature Elfman that has come out in recent years would be far more appropriate than the zany Beetlejuice, NBC, Elfman of the late 80s and early 90s.

I'm sure they could even get Zac Effron to lip-synch to Elfman's voice.

I agree... they must get Danny Elfman if they even think of getting me to watch it.

I didn't like HSM cause it was too bleh.. But I didn't hate it. I would have liked it, but then they over-did it... Park Prep Rally, Concerts, everything...

Two things:

1) I might sound stupid, but who is this Danny Elfman?
2) I think we can agree that the HSM phenomenon has gone WAAAY too far. As said in other threads, Haunted HSM is..... *gulp* planned to be in......theaters.

Bringing in Elfman wouldn't be such a bad idea.

His score was great in the Spider-Man movies.

And he scored Chicago, a movie musical, a best picture academy award winning movie musical.

I didn't see a commercial, it was at the end of the clip of HSM 2, the guy said something like due to the big success of teen movies like Super Bad, Hairspray and HSM, there are more movies like, Footloose and HSM 3 and 4 are in the works.
