futureimagineer1117 06-08-2007, 03:58 PM OOO! Pick meeeeee!
Anyway, I went there when I was like, um, 5 or 6, but my parents also had a great time!
They have tons of great stuff for kids and adults, the kids camp is fantastic, the pools are so nice and clean, and the waterslide is addictive! That's a kids point of view, I'm not going to ask you your age, but I can tell you that you will have a great time.
Have fun on your trip!

Hi! I was just there on Mother's Day. We liked it very much. The pool is really nice, the beach is lovely. There are a lot of activities for children - crafts and such. There is a campfire some nights, but we didn't get to do that because it was stormy. But we still had a great time. If you're going to be there a long time, get groceries. There are a couple of places to eat, but not as much variety as in the parks. There is no "food court" type place. Also, if you have time, go up the coast a bit to the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. That's an amazing place. The resort is a very pretty relaxing place. Not the hectic pace of the parks, but it is still absolutely Disney. Look for the Hidden Mickeys in the gift shop. Also, there is a lounge (I don't know whether you're old enough for this, but if not, your parents might enjoy it) where you can get drinks and appetizers, but they have live music every night. On the weekends it's a man playing the piano and doing Sinatra-type standards (very well, I might add) and on week nights it's a guitar person doing folkier type songs. Have a great time! I would post a picture if I knew how!

futureimagineer1117 06-08-2007, 04:25 PM Ah, yes, the campfires!! thanks fr reminding me! That was sooooooooooo much fun! All these families gathered together, singing songs, roasting marshmallows, and all of the cast members there (and all over the resort) were so nice and energetic!
The campfire was a huge highlight of our trip!

Hmm...didn't see a giant Mickey either last month or the other time I went. Feb 06. Must be something they removed a while ago.

Oh! You mean kind of like the flower thing at the front of the Magic Kingdom with Mickey in the flowers? :mickeymo: I thought you meant a big statue-type thing of Mickey! :on2long8:

You can buy a few groceries at the resort, but you probably want to pick up some essentials at Publix before you check in.
