oh yeah i forgot. it was bc of that. anyways here are some more things i found.
Because Disney's California Adventure is located within a residential zone and must adhere to certain noise restriction guidelines, special "scream" tubes were designed for California Screamin' to muffle the Guests' screams during those thrill portions of the ride that are sure to elicit such a reaction.
California Screamin' had a little colliding incident. here are some pics. there are no injury pictures in here! only area shots of the 2 cars!

Here are some Soarin' Over California Facts
There is a Hidden Mickey on the golf ball, which is coincidentally launched by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner, reportedly a big fan of golf.
Many Walt Disney World guests mistakenly believe the ride depicts various scenes of Florida rather than the Californian landscape; in fact, a popular inquiry at Epcot's Guest Relations is from guests wondering why Cinderella Castle has been replaced with a smaller counterpart, as many guests think Disneyland is the nearby Magic Kingdom park.
The parade at the end of the film running down Main Street is Disneyland's 'A Christmas Fantasy' parade. Some things to note is the Mad Hatter and Alice on the gingerbread house, which has now been replaced in the parade with Goofy and Max. Also, a careful eye might see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the ice rink float waving at the camera as it passes over. The parade is also stopped in place as the helicopter with the camera made several passes over the park.

I don't think that's a coincidence.

Where in Florida are the Golden Gate Bridge and Yosemite, or any mountains at all, for that matter?
GreatGatsby 05-31-2007, 07:58 AM Where in Florida are the Golden Gate Bridge and Yosemite, or any mountains at all, for that matter?Neo, you need to bear in mind that in EPCOT, the thing's called Soarin and that California is not mentioned at all.
For all they know, it could well be all over the U.S., a la America The Beautiful or American Journeys. Many people who live outside California are not familiar with Yosemite, or many of the other sites seen in the film (such as San Diego, Palm Springs, etc.).
That being the case, seeing Main Street with a smaller castle is certainly a source of confusion, as those guests would be more familiar with The Magic Kingdom.

This has been done before. Walt was visible in at least 6 places in the film America the Beautiful.

It also doesn't have all that cool stuff where the elevator rolls through the hallway. Walt Disney World's version is better.
(Though Disneyland has the better Space Mountain and Enchanted Tiki Room!)

The reason for these weird numbers is to stay below the 200' mark, at which point it becomes mandatory to install a flashing red FAA light for warning airplanes.

That would explain the 199, but not the 183.

why would they not want to install it? is it to bright or is it to much money or something?

Flashing red beacon lights look out of place on a "vintage" 1930s-era hotel.
FeyDolphy 06-02-2007, 06:58 AM What was toy story mania? ...AND WHEN DID THOSE CARS COLLIDE??
Hi!
The cars collided last year sometime and Toy Story Mania is a new ride that is being built. I think it is supposed to open next year.
AlohaLiilo 06-07-2007, 02:24 AM Oh! I just went on disneyland.com and came across something about the building of toy story mania! Just a quick mention of it though, no good details.
Destination 10-12-2007, 10:19 PM There is a new rumor now that a new Little Mermaid dark ride might replace the Golden Dreams Theater. This could come true after that article about disney looking at that Enchanted Dark Ride from that other park as well as that new water show rumored.
