Hello everyone! Coasters here and I need some help. For school, I get to do a free choice project, and unsurprisingly... I chose a Disney topic, Disneyland to be exact. I need some interesting facts and secrets about Disneyland. Also, if you know of any interesting Hidden Mickeys and you can find a picture of it, fell free to post it!

I take it that this is a research project of some sort. Anyway feel free to pm me with any questions about the resort. I was once a cm their and have extensive knowledge of the Adventureland and Frontierland areas. I have also learned lots of useless information and facts about the other areas of the park. I would be more than happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability, but remember not everything is "fair game" some things must remain a part of the Disney magic

Well, it's more of a basketball hoop.. not a lotta court space up there. Rumor has it they put one in because back in the day you couldn't have a building over a certain height in California unless it was a sports facility, so that's how they found a loophole. However, that is just a rumor, as the hoop wasn't added until years after the Matterhon was built. Nice story, anyway..

The basketball hoop (correct, not a court) was put there by Cast Members to have something to do during their breaks.
