Hey everyone! I was wondering... What's the best way to clean Disney pins? Mine are looking a bit tarnished, and I need a way to clean them without damaging them. Anyone know a way?

Windex? xD
Just taking a guess, I actually need to know myself.

I was thinking googone http://www.ilovetherain.com/Emote/jay.gif But according to a site I did a quick search for:
If cleaning is necessary, use a slightly damp, soft cloth to wipe clean.

Seems simple enough http://www.ilovetherain.com/Emote/happyc.gif

Then try some Goo-Gone (http://www.proppersource.com/images/expendables/Goo-Gone.jpg), if it's sticky.
What exactly are you cleaing off of the pins? That might help to make the suggestions more catered to you.
Damp cloth has worked for almost all of my cleaning needs.http://www.ilovetherain.com/Emote/jay.gif

Strike that comment. You did say what you were cleaning XD
Get a cheaper pin from trading and practice on it ^_^

Oh, and a mothers remedy: Toothpaste. I used to collect silver items, and whenever they'd start to go all brown, my mother would tell me to clean them with toothpaste. It worked, but I'm not sure why (Colgate seemed the best).

Having the same problem with a FRAMED pin set!
It's six little pins and a jumbo pin. The jumbo pin is looking tarinshed a little.
Can't do anything about it!

I am not sure what the pins are made of but ketchup lightly rubbed on and rinsed off of some kinds of metal works wonders for cleaning tarnish. It works really well on pennies. I do it all the time to pennies before I bring them to Dinsey to press them (we collect the pressed pennies).

I'd prefer not to have to search for a product. You see, I live in the Philippines, so most of the things they have in other countries aren't here.

Just as a note, most of my pins that have designs are okay, but some of them that have a lot of exposed space (like the ears of my 50th pin, for example).

Worked a little too well... It took off the tarnish, but it also took off the gold. >_< Good thing I just tried it on the back.
