All references I have found to this article are in archive and require either a trial membership, or payment to see the article.
It's owned by Advertising Age of which AdWeek is a subsidary.
MissyMiss 05-01-2007, 03:13 PM I remember looking for the actual article a while back and not having much success. AdvertisingAge does have it in its archives, but you need to be a member to access it.
There's one site that gives you a trial membership to read the article, but that doesn't do any good for posting the link here (I'm sure the mods would appreciate not breaking copyright laws posting the whole thing :) ).
I think we all can imagine what it talks about, even if you can't read every word.
Neoteny 05-01-2007, 03:15 PM I'm not having any trouble reading it in the image posted in this thread. You all need to get your eyes checked or something.
Qui-gon 05-01-2007, 04:14 PM I'm not having any trouble reading it in the image posted in this thread. You all need to get your eyes checked or something.Or maybe your computer processes images differently then ours. ;) I know! Post a picture of what your comput is seeing.

Sapphire Starglimmer 05-01-2007, 04:49 PM I loved the part that said it was aimed primarily at 7-to-12 year olds. Ouch, that hurt!

Yeah, I'm not exactly in that age group. But, hey, I'm Neoteny: The boy who never grew up.

Kitri 05-02-2007, 04:41 AM (I'm sure the mods would appreciate not breaking copyright laws posting the whole thing :) ).
Well, I found it on google images so, google lets us use their images, so, it's not tenichally copyrighting. ;)
CooledCoyote 05-02-2007, 04:31 PM There is this wrap-up article from a vitual game conference in NYC. http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20070423/chen_04.shtml
Neoteny 05-02-2007, 04:35 PM Our senior brand leaders at Disney allowed us to be "market" vs. "marketing" driven - and really let us build the world for our targeted audience. Tweens told us they didn't want the "Fab 5" (Mickey, Minnie, etc.) characters in VMK, so they aren't there; they told us "no parades", so there are none.
So it's the tweens' fault!
Monorail Red 05-02-2007, 06:49 PM So it's the tweens' fault!
Can we get a recount?????????????
Kitri 05-03-2007, 04:50 AM So it's the tweens' fault!
Hey! Don't get mad at us! Not all of us thought that way! ;)
