Yeah, why does the pin have a picture of the briarstone on it, anyway? They're mixing up their stones!

This thread has gone off topic.

When you ride the Peter Pan Dark Ride or the Alice In World Dark Ride (both are located at the Fantasyland Hub), you may win a Sword in the Stone Magic. This is RANDOMLY given out. It's possible that you can get this pin everytime you ride, and it's also possible that you will never get this pin. That's the thing about probability; since the dark rides are not mutually exclusive, the probability is of getting a pin is starts over everytime you ride. Once the Sword In The Stone magic is received, you have the chance of using it to pull at the sword. If you do, you will receive a prize (which seems to be randomly given out). This past weekend I have spoken with other players; some rec'd over 40 different magic pins and not one pulled the sword. Others say that they never rec'd the magic at all from the rides. Remember, getting the Sword In the Stone Magic and having it actually work are BOTH random. Neither one is guaranteed.

As far as the actual magic goes, it's called, Sword in the Stone Magic. Sword in the stone is based on the story of a boy pulling a sacred sword that was trapped inside the stone. It's said that however pulls the sword will be the King of England. Many men have tried but all you did failed until Arthur pulled it from the stone. The actual picture of the magic is based on a briar stone. The briar is from Sleeping Beauty. There is no relationship between the Stone In the Stone and Sleeping Beauty. In fact, the names are the swords are different. In Sword of the Stone it's called "Excaliber" and in "Sleeping Beauty" it is called "The Sword of Truth." I wouldn't spend too much time worrying why it's different. Who knows? Perhaps VMK probably thought the Briar stone makes a nicer looking pin.

With that said, this thread is now closed.
