Which ride is longer? Pan or Alice? Thanks.
P.S: I have tried to time it, but the lag is different on both of them. .

View Full Version : Which? VanillaWillow 04-28-2007, 11:30 PM Which ride is longer? Pan or Alice? Thanks. P.S: I have tried to time it, but the lag is different on both of them. . Wendot 04-28-2007, 11:31 PM Alice is longer. abbycatkid 04-28-2007, 11:32 PM Yes, I've noticed that Alice in Wonderland takes longer, mainly and/or probably because of the bigger lag in it. VanillaWillow 04-28-2007, 11:32 PM Okay, thanks. And are you completely sure? PrincessAnnO 04-28-2007, 11:34 PM I'd agree that Alice is a bit slower mostly due to lag. I also seem to crash on Alice more often. VanillaWillow 04-28-2007, 11:37 PM Thanks! How do you know tho? q: ShadowScamp 04-28-2007, 11:39 PM Its the complete opposite for me. Peter Pan is longer for me, and I usually crash in there. VanillaWillow 04-28-2007, 11:40 PM LOL .. O_o Interesting. jsmall 04-28-2007, 11:58 PM Alice seems longer because of all the traffic Thenishall 04-29-2007, 12:10 AM Alice has more rooms I believe.. I always ride the other one :) gabyta 04-29-2007, 12:25 AM Its the complete opposite for me. Peter Pan is longer for me, and I usually crash in there. I agree with you... Alice is better for me, less crash and less queues between the rooms. sunnyskye 04-29-2007, 12:26 AM Wow, I thought Peter Pan was longer. KrazyLuke 04-29-2007, 12:29 AM Actually they are both the same size. Alice In Wonderland consists of 5 rooms and Peter Pan's Flight also consists of 5 rooms. Both has been getting pretty jerky at times with the traffic, because of the weekend ride-a-thon. BUT.. Peter Pan's Flight is longer from what I've seen on a smooth day. Yes, both rides have the same amount of rooms inside them, but from what I've seen... Peter Pan's Flight has more track pieces/parts inside each of it's rooms making the ride a little longer than Alice ;) <--- OR at least that's what some other VMKer's and myself feel.. lol VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 12:31 AM Oh , I was thinking Pan was shorter, but you seem to be so sure, so thanks! April 04-29-2007, 12:32 AM Pan feels shorter to me, and I crash more on Alice but I sort of enjoy Alice a bit more, heh. VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 12:38 AM I enjoy pan more. LOL, and btw I just saw you on pan April. KrazyLuke 04-29-2007, 12:38 AM Oh , I was thinking Pan was shorter, but you seem to be so sure, so thanks! Well we all have different experiences. Another reason why I may think Pan is longer is because I enjoy Alice WAY more. LOL After the ride-a-thon is over and the jerky run throughs are over with I will run a timed test on each. :) April 04-29-2007, 12:41 AM Hmm -- wouldn't Alice be longer because you have to load it? Pan is just automatically started when you get on. I think Pan is shorter for me because the alice music can lag me a lot so it adds more time, where as Pan music isn't very extreme on my computer..odd. o_o Off Topic: You should've said something, Vanilla. :o I probably was afk then but yeah. ;3 Penguinz 04-29-2007, 12:42 AM Alice is longer. Peter Pan is shorter, but that's probably because I don't like Alice. ~Penguinz VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 01:10 AM Yeah. probably. Neoteny 04-29-2007, 06:07 AM I haven't timed them, but to me Peter Pan's Flight seems longer. Especially the "Flying over London" room. That one just seems to go on forever. SuperBillyHill 04-29-2007, 06:17 AM Pan is a little shorter but I noticed something today because I switch back and forth on the rides. The walk from the exit of Pan to the entrance of Alice is longer so the total time to ride both if you count the walk to the other ride is almost exactly the same. If you just want to get as many rides as possible then I would just keep riding Pan. But I like to do them one and then the other just because it's worked good for me to get sword magics. And I don't really think it matters but I don't want to go against good luck ;) And also... One of my accounts got a sword magic right when he left his last ride on Pan today and the pin worked to pull out the sword and it was like 30 seconds before vmk closed, lol. Woot! for another Casey Jr pin! :D Noelle 04-29-2007, 02:10 PM The rides always seem longer the first time because sometimes it takes so long for the room to load. I tend to switch back and forth, too, just to see if it makes a difference in getting a pin. One thing I keep doing is when I have gotten off the pan ride and click the turnstile to ride again, I click too much and end up clicking cancel instead of ok. kitty_cat 04-29-2007, 02:13 PM I like Peter Pan better than Alice Misskayla 04-29-2007, 02:17 PM I think Alice just has a row of tracks, you go around then your out into the other room. Pan has more turns and I see more people on Pan then I do Alice. I think the Pan one is longer. AceBlitzy 04-29-2007, 02:18 PM I think that Alice is longer. Try it yourself, time them maybe. disneyzoodude 04-29-2007, 02:28 PM Which ride is longer? Pan or Alice? Thanks. P.S: I have tried to time it, but the lag is different on both of them. . Alice is alot bigger. VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 02:55 PM Thanks ! LOL. All different answers here. Neoteny 04-29-2007, 03:20 PM I guess somebody needs to go to the trouble of timing the rides, since we can't seem to come to an agreement here otherwise. I'd suggest waiting until tomorrow, though, because of all the ride-a-thon lag. VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 03:23 PM Yeah, Or We can have a race! (Tomorrow) But We both leave at the same time, then see who comes out first. masha_lyukova 04-29-2007, 03:57 PM i'm timing it on vmk pal nvm i'm lazy Princessweelow 04-29-2007, 08:59 PM i think alice but ill check i have a timer ill try to help as much as i can :) :) ;) i have a timer on my IPod so ill try that im charging it right now and i just got off peter pan and it seened longer rofl so i thik its just a random thing VanillaWillow 04-29-2007, 09:04 PM Yeah, I think so too. SuperBillyHill 04-30-2007, 12:24 AM I did time both rides back when they first came out. Pan is shorter by a few seconds. And I timed them when VMK wasn't all laggy. Grooveygrl 04-30-2007, 12:36 AM Peter pan is shorter. No question about it. VanillaWillow 04-30-2007, 01:21 AM Lol, how do you know? ShadowScamp 04-30-2007, 03:18 AM Okay I just timed each ride. I started me after I went inside the Turnstile. Peter Pan: 3:18 minutes, seconds. I stopped time right before I came outside. Alice: 4:54 minutes, seconds. I stopeed time right before I came outside. These times are not correct, for them to be correct, you would have to be the only person riding each ride, these times include the time it takes for each room to load, and how long it takes to actually get on the tracks. That's a very big difference! ShadowScamp 04-30-2007, 03:25 AM Very, big difference. SuperBillyHill 04-30-2007, 06:29 AM It's not that big of a difference when the rooms are already loaded and there's not a million peeps riding. It's just a few seconds difference but Pan is shorter for sure. StitchMad 04-30-2007, 07:52 AM <Schmoofy|Around> Peter Pan Ride is shorter by about 25 pieces <StitchMad> You're sad enough to figure that out? Yes, schmoofy measured the tracks for you.. xD comic_dreams 04-30-2007, 07:54 AM Wow, thanks schmoof! VanillaWillow 04-30-2007, 01:05 PM Coolness, Thankies =) Neoteny 04-30-2007, 03:32 PM Something only Schmoofy would do. Thanks. :) VanillaWillow 04-30-2007, 08:17 PM Lol, How Would He Count Them All!! |
