Which ride is longer? Pan or Alice? Thanks.
P.S: I have tried to time it, but the lag is different on both of them. .

Alice is longer.

Yes, I've noticed that Alice in Wonderland takes longer, mainly and/or probably because of the bigger lag in it.

VanillaWillow
04-28-2007, 11:32 PM
Okay, thanks. And are you completely sure?

PrincessAnnO
04-28-2007, 11:34 PM
I'd agree that Alice is a bit slower mostly due to lag. I also seem to crash on Alice more often.

Thanks! How do you know tho? q:

Its the complete opposite for me. Peter Pan is longer for me, and I usually crash in there.

Alice seems longer because of all the traffic

Alice has more rooms I believe..
I always ride the other one :)

I agree with you...
Alice is better for me, less crash and less queues between the rooms.

Wow, I thought Peter Pan was longer.

Actually they are both the same size.

Alice In Wonderland consists of 5 rooms
and
Peter Pan's Flight also consists of 5 rooms.

Both has been getting pretty jerky at times with the traffic, because of the weekend ride-a-thon.

BUT.. Peter Pan's Flight is longer from what I've seen on a smooth day. Yes, both rides have the same amount of rooms inside them, but from what I've seen... Peter Pan's Flight has more track pieces/parts inside each of it's rooms making the ride a little longer than Alice ;) <--- OR at least that's what some other VMKer's and myself feel.. lol

Oh , I was thinking Pan was shorter, but you seem to be so sure, so thanks!

Pan feels shorter to me, and I crash more on Alice but I sort of enjoy Alice a bit more, heh.

VanillaWillow
04-29-2007, 12:38 AM
I enjoy pan more. LOL, and btw I just saw you on pan April.

Well we all have different experiences. Another reason why I may think Pan is longer is because I enjoy Alice WAY more. LOL After the ride-a-thon is over and the jerky run throughs are over with I will run a timed test on each. :)

Hmm -- wouldn't Alice be longer because you have to load it? Pan is just automatically started when you get on.

I think Pan is shorter for me because the alice music can lag me a lot so it adds more time, where as Pan music isn't very extreme on my computer..odd. o_o

Off Topic: You should've said something, Vanilla. :o I probably was afk then but yeah. ;3

Alice is longer. Peter Pan is shorter, but that's probably because I don't like Alice.

I haven't timed them, but to me Peter Pan's Flight seems longer. Especially the "Flying over London" room. That one just seems to go on forever.

Pan is a little shorter but I noticed something today because I switch back and forth on the rides. The walk from the exit of Pan to the entrance of Alice is longer so the total time to ride both if you count the walk to the other ride is almost exactly the same. If you just want to get as many rides as possible then I would just keep riding Pan. But I like to do them one and then the other just because it's worked good for me to get sword magics. And I don't really think it matters but I don't want to go against good luck ;) And also... One of my accounts got a sword magic right when he left his last ride on Pan today and the pin worked to pull out the sword and it was like 30 seconds before vmk closed, lol. Woot! for another Casey Jr pin! :D

The rides always seem longer the first time because sometimes it takes so long for the room to load. I tend to switch back and forth, too, just to see if it makes a difference in getting a pin. One thing I keep doing is when I have gotten off the pan ride and click the turnstile to ride again, I click too much and end up clicking cancel instead of ok.

I like Peter Pan better than Alice

I think Alice just has a row of tracks, you go around then your out into the other room. Pan has more turns and I see more people on Pan then I do Alice. I think the Pan one is longer.

I think that Alice is longer. Try it yourself, time them maybe.

I guess somebody needs to go to the trouble of timing the rides, since we can't seem to come to an agreement here otherwise.

I'd suggest waiting until tomorrow, though, because of all the ride-a-thon lag.

VanillaWillow

Yeah, Or We can have a race! (Tomorrow) But We both leave at the same time, then see who comes out first.

I did time both rides back when they first came out. Pan is shorter by a few seconds. And I timed them when VMK wasn't all laggy.

Peter pan is shorter. No question about it.

ShadowScamp

Okay I just timed each ride. I started me after I went inside the Turnstile.

Peter Pan: 3:18 minutes, seconds. I stopped time right before I came outside.

Alice: 4:54 minutes, seconds. I stopeed time right before I came outside.

These times are not correct, for them to be correct, you would have to be the only person riding each ride, these times include the time it takes for each room to load, and how long it takes to actually get on the tracks.

Very, big difference.

SuperBillyHill
04-30-2007, 06:29 AM
It's not that big of a difference when the rooms are already loaded and there's not a million peeps riding. It's just a few seconds difference but Pan is shorter for sure.

<Schmoofy|Around> Peter Pan Ride is shorter by about 25 pieces
<StitchMad> You're sad enough to figure that out?

Yes, schmoofy measured the tracks for you.. xD
