I, too, have attempted to post the occasional poll (usually with more substance than "What's color iPod do you have?") only to have it rejected by the Powers That Be.

It happens. Who knows why.

Well, I did not say yeah or nay to your poll, so I can not say why it was gone. I can only assume that whoever said Nay assumed that it would start trouble or that the topic HAS been done before. What was the question to the poll?

As for messages, when saying yeah or nay to post and threads, there can be over 50 at a time. This is not a very easy task to say why they were denied to each one. But, the best thing to do IS to ask a mod about it and explain the situation. This way, you MAY be able to get an answer.

Okay, the Question was "Where Have You Been" Or something like that, it was for people to tell there favorite places. Thanks ..

Actually, that topic has been done before I am quite sure in more than one way. I will not have the time to search since it is nearly 11 pm at night, but you may use the "Advance search" in the polls area. Try "Places" in the thread title or "visit". (Just some ideas)

The other problem, and this is NOT your fault, is discussions like that seem to lead to people saying "I live there" or "Where I live now". If this happens, you WILL not find those threads any more.

They can lead to great conversation, but sadly they seem to lead towards personal info. I am sorry, but just trying to help with an answer.

Sometimes, when I think of an idea for a thread, or something I want to talk about, I search. It is fun to bring up OLD threads that have to deal with what I want to discuss now. Hey, if the topic fits, use it. No need to be the owner of a thread.
