Yowza, I wish I'd been here during Beta!!! But I'd found VMK through the book, Kingdom Keepers, and I'd have had to read it some time earlier if I had wanted to make it here in time for Beta VMK.

I likes the HDKL shirts. They really do look snazzy. And all those people in a room? Whoa.. Can we say party? And what's with all those scorcerer hats? Lol, sorry, but wow, never seen so many in a single room... *sigh* Wish I'd been on VMK earlier.

And is it just me, or were there different clothes, colors and styles, available back during the beta days? It seems so, after watching the picture slideshow thing on the stepmania.info/vmk/ site.

I remember that ride thing around when the River pieces were out or coming out. I forget what this little event was called, but all those people were not community leaders ;)

I remember going into the room and almost everyone that would "help" per say wore that outfit if they had it. Then people started to get the idea of a new CL costume, but now that wouldnt be a fair thing to do now would it? :rolleyes:

I was here a month after beta and they still used the same homepage with the little intro during aug or sept '05. They only set up main street, fantasyland, and adventureland. I remember that the stores back then had furniture you can't get today and now are called beta furniture.

No - It was at the staff ride event. The leaders just wore that so people knew who they were, and it looks good in pictures! :)

Well i remember the beta days. When i had green flips and i gave them away for a ugly (compared to green flips) Sea Green cactus chair. What a doofus i was. Ah, i guess it just wasn't meant to be.

I still hate my VMK self from this day that i made such a dumb decision. Well i think i joined sometime in Mid' may i think it was the 18th. My mom has emailed me from work telling me that she got a pop-up with a game with virtual characters who were in Magic Kingdom so i immediatley clicked the link and joined. Nobody could get me off the game, unless they pulled me out. But it's not that way anymore now VMK doesn't have Magic :rolleyes:

I can remember a lot like it was just yesterday!!

Since VMK had just opened for like about a week when i started there wasn't many people there. To me, it always felt like we were the only ones in the kingdom. New stuff came out and it seemed like buying something that was 500 credits was REALLY high in points. Now it only seems like 20,000 is a lot. Gold ears.... were totally rare you had to work your virtual character for so long just to get them.

I kinda wish VMK could go back to beta for just one day! For the people who just started to see what it was like when we started. But just one more day in the past would be a great adventure!

Yeah, Good times. I still like the old user-design for the homepage, but the video was outdated. They were wearing impossible costumes, and the people were like, giant, hah.

I remember beta days... rooms did get very crowded and there were lots of bugs in games. You had first crack at all the cool stuff though.

I remember seeing a lot of beta pics and i swear almost everyone in the room was like missing arms and legs and feet and shoes! LOL

the great genie experiment was the greatest ever, regardless of the whole huge crash part :)

monorail used to have no music player, i liked it better.
