are you sure it came from here. I just clicked on the "Send a private E-mail link" for you and it says you are not accepting E-mails. I get those weird nonsensical e-mails all the time and delete them mostly without ever reading them.

That is weird. Well, he could have gotten the address then gone to his email to send it. I think it was from here because he said, "You have a weird person." I think he was referring to my VMK character.

I think it is just some weird game people play on the net. If I had a dollar for everyone I got, I would be rich. But it is good to know that your info is safe here. I was pretty sure with all the safeguards VMKF has that it would be very difficult for anyone but a mod to contact you directly, as it should be. Don't lose any sleep over it and consider the message as just a coincidence.

You can check under user CP and then Click on "Edit Options" The second box has e-mail selections.

Hmm.. Well, just reply to the email and say: " Please do not email me!" and then block him on your e-mail

Just as an FYI, if you have "Receive Email from Other Members" checked under the Messaging & Notification options, other users will be able to send you a message through this site, but they will not see your e-mail address unless you reply to them via e-mail. There is no other way for a user to harvest your e-mail address from the forums.

You should be able to tell it was sent through the forums by looking at the first line in the message body which will say "This is a message from <SENDER> at VMK Forums - Virtual Magic Kingdom Forums & Fansite"
