Hey, I'm just looking for a confirmation. I just came in second in fireworks and didn't recieve a pin this time. Has anyone else had this problem today? Admittedly, it was a really high scoring and close game (dewdrop had 266,735 to my 266,504), but I always recieved the pin before.

I'm bad at that game and haven't played in forever but maybe they changed the rules of how to get a pin with beta ending?

Like the invisibility pin that you can only win once for pirates (per account), the fireworks pin was probably designed more as a way of recognizing really great players rather than something to stock up on and use for trading (I admit, I've offered multiple fireworks pins for Inferno before :)). Since I suspected they would eventually fix this all along, I wish I would have stockpiled even more fireworks pins before they disabled the ability to earn multiple pins on the same account. Oh well...hopefully my current supply will last me a while, although I may be a little more hesitant to give them out for free now. ;)

I think that's a reasonable balance, although it might make more sense to let people get it five times so they could combine them all and max out their fireworks pin.

Anyway, I will find out at lunch if I can win any more than four. I was curious if there was a limit myself. I have traded two and was weary to trade the other one I have.

Clearly a win-win situation for both of us...the perfect trade! :D

It looks as though you cant get more than one fireworks pin now. Several people who already had one could not get another even though they finished the game by hitting 240000 and not winning.

Oh well..I never got the firework pin for getting 240k anyway...Just something I have to look forward to when I finally get there!!! I only need 4k more to get mine :)

I can't beleive this! Yesterday was the first day I was able to actually score 240,000 on this game. I was able to do it yesterday quite a few times, but only one of those times was there someone there to beat me! So I got my first fireworks magic pin! This morning I go back in hoping to get a few more pins and I get a score of 246,000 and come in second and I don't get a pin. I come here looking for information and I find this thread! This really stinks, I can't beleive the day after I finally am able to score 240,000 they go and change it! I was thinking the same. It motivated a lot of us to get better and then it is gone. Perhaps they should have stepped it. First at 230,000 Next at 240,000 Third at 250,000 fourth at 260,000 and last at 270,000. That would have kep us playing a while and gave you all five pins plus make it a long term challenge.

I can see where it might be possible to accidentally make a redundant post if this was posted in some other obsolete thread that is buried in the forums, but the information you have shared was already posted in this same thread at least four times! :p

I now remember that it was later last night and not this morning I got one.

I noticed this this morning. All last week I had been stocking up on the pins, then today I get the messege saying all I got was 100 credits. I remember I went around asking everyone I knew about it. Ran into wdwspider at the music game. [Btw, great games the other day.]

I am just confirming that, yes, a character who has not yet gotten a Fireworks magic pin does still get one at the 240,000 and not winning mark. My roommate was able to get their first (and apparently only) pin today.

I definitely just confirmed that you only receive one fireworks magic pin using a guest account. The first snapshot below was created when someone beat me but I still scored over 240,000 points. As you can see, They still awarded a fireworks magic pin. The second snapshot below was created when someone beat me during a second game and I still scored over 240,000 points. The reward during this second game was only 100 credits. MrGenie made some great comments earlier and wdwspider had a great suggestion, especially for some new people. (1) They should definitely allow people to acquire at least five fireworks magic pins so they could combine them all together or trader - personal preference (2) They should provide fireworks magic pins when reaching certain score levels:

230,000 1st Fireworks Magic Pin
240,000 2nd Fireworks Magic Pin
250,000 3rd Fireworks Magic Pin
260,000 4th Fireworks Magic Pin

That's a very good point. I really liked how before you could get as many Fireworks pins as you wanted, because then you could trade and combine them. If the VMK staff wants more people to trade, they should allow people to get more than one of each magic pin. Magic pins/In park items are the only things people can't buy outright. There's no reason to trade unless you have some good goods!

You guys are nuts! I can't get more then 65,000 on that game let alone 240,000 thats why I have to trade to get the fireworks magic pin!

I totally, totally, *totally* agree with that scoring chart! I just reached past 230,000 for the first time ever tonight (just before VMK closed), and I don't know how easy it's gonna be for me to repeat that *and* reach 240,000. I *still* don't get how these others manage to get as much as 270,000! *sigh*

I've been trying to find someone to trade me a fireworks pin for Madame Leota, but I'd really love to hang on to my Leota... She cost me an arm & a leg! (didn't get a chance to buy her until after the price hike)

I am not the best at Fireworks myself...I have practiced and practiced and finally got 200,000 points wich is good for me ;) I got the gold pin, 100 credits, and a free room :). Now to reach my goal for magic! See ya later!

Also, since you are new here, I should take this opportunity to say a word about bumping old threads. Note that the most recent post in this thread before yours is almost a month old, making this an old, old (old) thread. Since the discussion in this thread had basically ended, it's usually best to look a little harder for some more recent discussion before "bumping" (in other words, replying) to a thread this old. I think you would have found several threads with tips on fireworks with more recent posts than this thread if you searched on "fireworks" or looked in the "Mini-Games" section of the forum.
