Super Fly- right before you win, click quit then play again. You will have the same score at the beggining and can score higher.
Sonic- if you lose that's the only time you can submit scores

Bugs
Canuck Rally Snowmobile- longer you wait higher the score
Island Off-Road- same thing here
Hovercraft Racing- same thing here

Anybody else got glitches like this?
Mods please try to fix this if possible because racing games are boring when you sit and wait to become 1st place.
And another thing. Puzzled sheep, Marvin's Space Bowling, or Pyoro doesn't look to be working for many people.

Oh and lets not forget the Sonic Glitch I posted in another thread. When you win the game, you can't submit your score. But when you lose you can.

I guess something was wrong with my end. It worked, but the moose started falling about a minute after I started to play. Guess that's on my end too. Sorry for the confusion.

One time I played micro machines powerboats 2nd level i hit the edge and i was in a huge amount of white and couldn't get back.
The problem with puzzled sheep is that it keeps submitting it hyperly and does not stop. Jungle jumble 2 let's you submit but it says you did not submit from the game.

Mirco Machines seems to work and able to submit scores. Must be just a minor glitch in the game.

Jungle Jumble 2 - Unable to submit scores, but seems fun to play. I shut it off from having tournaments.

I don't know about you guys but i can't submit scores on Hyper Doughe. I've tried for a few weeks and i get sent to this weird page with some error message. But I see the high scores have been scored recently so it might just be me.

After doing some checking and talking it over with Nick, we're unable to fix the mysql error that keeps happening. We can only hope that they will fix this problem in future updates of the arcade. It is a rather newer plugin for vB and still has a lot of bugs to be worked out.

Just click the play again button and it'll auto submit your score. If you click on submit, it seems to lock up.

I'm using IE 7 and the newest versions of flash and shockwave. I managed to get to 10th place on my first try and never ran across this bug. I believe the problem is with your computer. Might want to update some stuff or double check your settings.

This morning of 7:19am (est), I found that the Arcade Shows Mike1087 being the new Garage Door Tennis champion twice. So I decided to view the score, and it said Mike1087 had only scored 12, and Dinodave still has 91.

EDIT: I decided to play Garage Tennis, beat his score^ with only 16, and now it says I'm the new champion? Oh yea, and it does that double saying I'm the champion on the main arcade page...? Also whne you look at the post corner where all highscores are shown, it says Garage Door Tennis twice.

After you play the game: it shows you the scores of every hippo. There's a black space above that. You'll have to fish around with your mouse, but the left side is a hidden re-play button and the center has a hidden submit button.

Fixed the double score caused by a bug.

And no problem on the double post. This is a rare case where a double post is acceptable in order to bring it to our attention.

Yeah, I think it did that because we have the same score, but I got it first. There are several games that do that when you have a tied score. (Show one score higher than the other on the high score list, but reverse it in the rankings. I think one goes by first achieved, and the other goes by faster time.)
Free Cell Solitare is also still not scoring correctly. When you finish, it used to give you points for the time remaining then submit your score. Now it justs sits until you click resign, then sends that score without the time left bonus.

Daffy's Studio Adventure has a pretty major glitch.

You don't have to play the levels you can just walk back and forth over the same two tiles and your score will increase. If your willing to put the time in you can get any score you want.

Scoring for conundrum should be lowest score is top score, since you are to work it as fast as you can. Currently, it has the slowest score in first place.

Ok, it says I'm the highscore, but when your on the screen to play the game it doesn't. It says the other person has the high score. Plus, it doesn't show it on the scrolling thing in my post. But when you submit scores for NonName Game 2, on that page it says I am the hogh score. And I have 15 High scores, and I'm not on the main arcade page, while bee2u has 14 highscores, and is on the main page.

About CrazyMaze, since you have a tied score with the highest score (ever), usually the first score or the one achieved in the shortest duration will be displayed as the all time high.

Rally: Unfortunately, that can happen with any game sometimes depending on timeouts and internet connections.

BOT wars: It's not currently showing you as the high score.

What I mean is, somebody has the all time high score that is lower than real highscore. Same thing with Get Groovy.

Also, the backwards scoring is Skatemania, not Extreme Skate.

One option that I do to guard myself from a failed server is waiting to submit the score. When I finish a game, I open a new window for VMKF to check that it's running well, if it is, then I will submit the score.

Looks like this tournament isn't going well at all. Got 2 people eliminated before it really has gotten started because of a bug in the tournament system. Once papersouls vs king lurker is completed, it should fix things. Just hang tight till that section of the tournament is over. If that doesn't correct things, please let us know.

What about the SQL error? I read about it in a post back in April that it hopefully would be fixed on a future update. I still get it all the time. It happens in Gold Miner, Queen of Jewels and Fun fun Animals. These are my three favorite games it's driving me nuts. Am I the only one getting this Error?

The error is mentioned in this thread on page one by TheMoth dated 04/17/07. TheMoth has written the whole error message out there. I am still getting this error. Once I have submitted a score for a game I can't submit a higher score. It happens on Gold Miner, Fun Fun Animals and Queen of jewels.

Despite your wishes, the scores will always revert back to the way they are now. Several cycles ago, when you won a game that had a lock score (a score that can not be topped) you kept it even though others scored the "same" score. Last cycle that changed and now you can get the high score just by a tie. The last person to get the top score is first. There is no way now to prove that you were indeed the first person to get that high score. In fact, you were not first in either of those games (Crystal Island and Crazy Maze) I even went so far as to enter the word "first" in the comment box for Crazy Maze to remind me of that. If Wendot requires proof of this, just look at the times that we won that high scores and you will plainly see that indeed I was the first player to get the "lock" score. Under the current rules, anyone who wins that game can get the high score from me and you. If you want to change the rules now, please give me and all the other players fair notice so that we have an even chance of getting the high score first. Just giving you high score because you complained about it isn't exactly fair now is it?

Wendot please do not adjust the scores in these games until we all have a fair and balanced discussion about how the arcade works for these games. In addition, Bunny Grab, Tarzan Jungle Jump, COCO Penalty, Daffy Jumper and Matchstick Soccer also score in this manner.

Oh in addition to the above problems the timer for all these games is messed up. Using time as a measure of ability in most of these games is useless since the timer is not reliable. I suggest that you just leave things as they are for this cycle out of fairness to all and fix things in the beginning of the next cycle. Right now ANYONE can get those high scores and that seems fair enough to me.

If you would have read the post directly under yours you would have seen me address this topic for several other games and a few other players who are having similar problems. Since the timers are not accurate, time is not useful in this case so there is not a fair way of assessing a winner. I hope that this will be addressed in the next cycle, but for this cycle I am asking that things remain "as is". The reason is clear to those of us that have played in every arcade cycle, if you understand the rules going in then you just have to play according to them. If you attempt to alter the rules now it will benefit some and prejudice others. I agree it stinks having to defend a score over and over but I been doing that for about a year now so welcome to the club!

In some of the games the timer shows 8 seconds for a game that takes at least a minute to win. Other times it shows 25-30 minutes for a game that takes a minute to play. I have seen wild swings in the times so my opinion is that they are unreliable. Your experience may vary and I don't dispute any opinion you may have on the subject. I have just played long enough to have seen too many funny things happen here to trust the timers anymore.

Here is a fine example of how the timer is messed up. The game scores you are looking at are from DTunnel. They are the current scores so you can verify what I am saying. Just to explain to everyone not familiar with this game, you have a ship that you need to navigate through a tunnel without crashing into the walls. You score points for getting farther into the tunnel. You go at a constant speed and there are no bonus' available. That is why this game is a great example, the time and the score are directly proportional. The farther you go, the longer it should take and the higher your score. Notice the scores and the times played are a mismatch. How is it possible for two players to have close scores but such different times? Lucky33325 and ronosamiam have almost the same score but the time it took to get their scores varies greatly. AlexKZ and poloshia have fairly close scores on the same day but their times vary greatly also. I stick to my opinion that the timers are unreliable as a measure of proficiency.

I have a better score but it eliminated me? any thing that you can do?

Ok, Mr.GreenGene this is very interesting. I remember when it said 9 seconds for RustyCopperPenny to beat Bunny grab. That just doesn't make sense, you are right.

I've noticed that the time updates everytime you play. So lucky33325 probably played dtunnel again but lost at the 20 second mark.

Ok then. Let's see.. Does it take 2 hours to get 50 holes in Panda Golf? Possibly. 30 seconds for Crystal Island? No. Timer is seriously messed up for like, what, every game it seems. Totally agreeing with Mr.GreenGene, and in falldown, it takes like 10-15 seconds for the next level, not 5. So it seems..
Having it that way Mr.GreenGene suggests is adequate yet intelligent. He can steal mine, and I can get them back. Fine with me, we'll fight over them. :smiley5::smiley55:

Haven't posted here in a while, considering I only am claiming scores I can. (Ultimate Ping), but I think I know what is wrong with the timers. The arcade only takes the first played time of a game.

For example: Person A scores 125 points in a game. They submit the score. On the score table its shows they had made 125 points in say 25 seconds.

After a bit, Person A plays the game and does alot better. The score is now 1500 points, but the time is still 25 seconds.

If you don't get what I mean, try it out on a game. Yeti Long Shot is a very easy game to use this example on. 1224 distance in 5 seconds?!?!

Something has changed in the arcade so that the scores are fixed into their current order. I can no longer take a score back that is mine and apparently others can not take my scores. I'm not happy since it is clear I had some of them first but as long as it stays this way I can live with it. Mod please post what you did to alter the scoring so that I can understand it TY.

I just took my time and won every games first place.
It's neither time, speed or velocity. It's just dumb luck and how the site is working that day.

Pong seems to work fine for me. I did notice that the ball has to hit the paddle on more than the edge though.

in Jungle Jumble 2 whenever i play and try to submit a score it says it did not submit and my score wasnt saved (is that why the high score on the right says 0?)

Thats correct. Jungle Jumble 2 Game is not submitting scores.

Is there a secret to playing long arcade games and not getting timed out of vmkf? I finally figured out how to play my current addiction, Crystal Clear, and i was only able to submit the lowest of three scores I earned late last night, and it took 40 minutes to play that game, according to the scoreboard. The other two games must have taken longer. I know I was definitely logged off of vmkf when I finished one of the games and was unable to submit my score.

Kanga - all I can say is I'm not sure.. it hould have ben fixed. Batleth should be able to figure this out though.

hmmm, I'm never logged off VMKF, but I think if you were to log back in before submitting the score it should work.
