Before the ride Stitch's Great Escape!, there was ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. The character for ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was a alien called skippy (as seen below:)

Well skippy is in one of the great adventures of stitch uin the disney channel show he was one of the alien cousins. well he kind of looked like it

Skippy... he looks like he's hiding something lol I never got to ride the encounter because the last time i was there with it i was too scared to go on it. I mean even the X-S tech ppls look FREAKY!! Also skippy isn't the alien that breaks loose is he? I saw some pictures of the one that breaks loose and it looked NOTHING like skippy. Skippy was the test subject in the teleportation demonstration in the pre-show of Alien Encounter. He started out all cute and furry, but his fur was smoking and he was a bit burned after his teleportation. I always felt bad for Skippy. :(

lol I just got out my old skippy stuffed animal and you are right there is a resemblance to stitch's cousin! I do have to say that I miss this attraction, loved it a whole lot more than the new stitch one

I do enjoy Stitch's Great Escape, and as said, Skippy is the one in the beginning of it. ( It probably wasn't so hard to build that ride because both are " space themes " which makes them not have as much construction.

Right before the film came out (and Disney "plagiarism" conspiracy theories were running wild with Disney-history fans fed up people saying Lion king was "sorta like Hamlet"), I'd seen someone post a picture of a cute lil' "furry critter" corporate-logo mascot that looked an AWFUL DARN lot like Stitch, right down to the same notched ear, and this was right around the time the first poster came out.

I've spent an hour trying to search '01 Google refs trying to find it, and all traces seems to have vanished--
