I have been working on a story for quite a while and I thought the public would like to read it. So far I have written 15 chapters, but I'll post 4 chapters.
Bella
My name is Bella Northway. My “Uncle”, Flad is now my guardian and now I have to move to Ohio.
It was a warm sunny Friday in California and it was the day I had to take a 9:00 a.m. flight. I packed everything that was ever so dear to me. My mother’s white pearl necklace and a photograph of my mother and father. In the photograph, my mother was wearing a red sweater with a denim skirt. Her black hair was pulled back into a pony tail showing her silver eyes. My father who was on the right had a black suit on, with a black tie and his sleek blonde hair pulled back. I was in the middle and I was seven at the time. I had my faded blonde hair down covering half of my pale face. You could only see one of my silver eyes. I had a sleek baby blue dress, with my arms crossed. At the time, my parents and I just had a fight about saying I wish I could run away. Now I wish I never said that. Looking at my full suitcase, I realized how I never met my so called “Uncle” Flad. Heading out the door, I called a yellow cab. Once a cab pulled up, I placed my suitcase in the trunk and entered the cab. “Where to?” asked the driver. “Saint Johns Airport” I replied with a grin. The driver then stepped on the gas and turned on to Eves Street. I took my last glance at the house I lived in and had joyous memories, for fourteen years. It felt strange leaving your home and entering a new life. I just hope my “Uncle” will be please to see me.
The cab stop and I looked at the price, twenty-four dollars and seven cents. I handed the kind driver his money and got my bag. Slowly I walked through the cold sliding doors and into the airport. I took a deep breath and headed the check in. My suitcase was tagged and I carried it to the x-ray machines. Quietly I headed towards gate three for the flight for Athens, Ohio. Right when I found the gate after ten minutes, the airplane was boarding. I ran towards the flight attendants and gave them my ticket. Pacing myself through the tunnel to enter the place, I kept wondering how my “Uncle” was like. As I entered the plane, I found my seat quickly. It wasn’t a window seat like I usually have on a plane ride. Two minutes after boarding the plane, it started to move. It was time to take off and I was a little excited. One thing was that I still had no clue who “Uncle” Flad was. Was he a business man with kids? Or a fat old man, who lives in a condo for singles?! Just thinking about it made me curious each time I thought about him. Now the place was on the run way and was speeding up. I could feel the force pressing on to me, as I leaned back into the non-leather seat. Finally we were in the air and I pulled out my pink ipod mini. I clicked the play button to turn it on and played a book. I had three books on my ipod and they were the Traveling Pants series. I was in the middle of the second book, so I continued where I was. A couple of minutes later, I had fallen asleep with earplugs on still listening to the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants”.

Chapter Two
After a couple hours, as in two hours, I was a woken by a flight attendant. “Ma’am”, she said, “we have just arrived in Athens, Ohio.” “It is time to leave the plane; do you know where you are heading to?” I replied trying not to yawn, “Yes. My “Uncle” should be picking me up.” She nodded and disappeared behind a curtain. I got up, stretching my legs from the cramp ride, and grabbed my suit case from under my seat and hurried out of the plane. Once I the airport, I saw a strange chauffer holding a sign that said “Isabella Northway”. I approached the chauffer with caution. The chauffer asked “Isabella Northway?” I replied, “Yes, and who might you be?” He replied, “I am your Uncle Flad’s chauffer. He sent me to pick you up.” I nodded, realizing my “Uncle” was a wealthy man. As soon as we stopped talking, he hand signaled m to follow him to the limo. At first I was a little shocked seeing that my “Uncle” had me picked up in a limo. The chauffer opened my door and took my suit case. As I crawled in the limo, I saw a tiny snack bar, filled with wonderful snacks. I grabbed a packet of cashew, while the chauffer entered the limo’s driver side and started the engine. After stuffing cashews into my mouth, I started to look out the window. I saw the high school, which I might be going to, and a couple of teens my age. They stared at me and I stared back. Couple of minutes later, I saw the mansion. It was a gray mansion, with a lime green roof. At the front door I saw a strange looking man. I asked, “Who is that man at the front door?” There was silence for a moment. “That is your Uncle Flad; he has been expecting you for quite a while.” Expecting me, I thought. That is strange, even though we had never met. The limo stopped right at the staircase where my “Uncle” stood. The chauffer got out, and opened my door. I stepped out slowly quietly, slightly staring at my “Uncle”. “Hello my dear,” he greeted me; “you must be Isabelle?” I replied, “I prefer to be called Bella.” He nodded. “Well, welcome to your new home. I’ve been expecting you and very happy I have become your guardian.” I tried to smile, without making a frown. He smiled back and showed me the way in. “For your information, your room is upstairs and is the second door on the right.” I stared with a little confusion, tightening my grip on my mother’s pearl necklace. “Don’t be afraid my dear, you will soon feel right at home.” He walked off into a staircase heading down to the basement.

Chapter Three
As Flad slowly walked down the stairs, he started to smirk. For Flad he had plans for Bella. At the final step he entered a dungeon like room. For this room was not a dungeon, it was a laboratory. Not an original laboratory but a ghost laboratory. He had a secret, which no one speaks, he was half ghost. Flad is a charming fellow, who kept a few tricks up his sleeve. His hair is a silver as cloud’s lining, light tan skin with baby blue eyes. He always wore a black suit with a violet tie. In his lab, he transformed into a ghost you have never seen before. His hair turned black pulled back and had gray eyes. A suit that was white with a red cape and light blue skin fell upon him in his ghost form. Then he called his henchmen monkeys, who were ghosts as well. “Watch over Bella”, he commanded the ghost flying monkeys, “we have future plans for her and we want her as comfortable as possible.” The ghost monkeys obeyed Flad, and began their quest. As soon as his henchmen left, he laughed no regular laugh, but an evil laugh.
As I approached the oak door, I took a deep breath and entered through the door. Walking into the room, I was shocked. My room was like a dream. The walls were a royal red; the bed had a strong structure, which had a brown frame. The bed was covered with dark red pillows and a matching comforter. Across from the bed, was a small brown dresser, with red roses on top? As I continue to walk into the room, I placed my suitcase upon the bed, and unpacked. After placing all my stuff into all the places they were suppose to be. Then I had a feeling I was being watched. Peeking into the hallway, I saw no one. Looking at the clock, it was 7:30 p.m. So I went down stairs, trying to find the dining room. After five minutes of searching room after room, I finally found the dining room. It was a huge room, with many portraits. The room had a dark feeling in it, since it had oak walls. In the middle of the room, was a long dark brown table with different kinds of foods. At the end of the table, was “Uncle” Flad smiling. I sat at the other end of the table smiling back. “So what do you think of your room?” Flad asked with a smile. “It’s great.” I replied, picking up my fork to eat the spaghetti on my plate. “Wonderful, since tomorrow is Saturday, I thought we could spend some time together, since I am your guardian.” I swallowed with a frown, “Sure, I can’t wait.” I put half a smile on my face trying not to look disapproved to the idea.

Chapter Four
That night, after eating dinner with “Uncle”, I explored the mansion. There were dozens and dozens of rooms I couldn’t believe. A library, Movie Theater, pool, trophy room, and so many more I couldn’t named them all! After exploring all the rooms, I decided to go to bed. When I was about to go up the stairs, I saw a door that caught my eye. I’ve never been into this room I thought. So I slowly opened the door to a dark and gloomy staircase. I entered the staircase way and went down the stone steps one by one.
At the end of the stone steps was a laboratory. The laboratory reminded me of the lab my parents had. They use to be ghost hunters until that car crash. I only went into it once, when I was ten. It had gadgets galore and a ghost portal. It was silver and was always closed. It was shaped as an octagon with yellow and black stripes on the edges. I never knew what was inside, but I was so curious to find out. I didn’t want to ask my parents, because they didn’t know I was actually down there, so I just kept it a secret.
After remembering, I took a glimpse at the lab. It was just like my parent’s ghost lab, but this one was nicer. I walked slowly forward and searched the lab. Beakers and blue prints where everywhere. Then I spotted the ghost portal. It was on the wall and looked exactly the same as my parent’s. When I was about to touch the portal, a cold hand laid upon my shoulder and I froze.
