Do all theads and groups get searched when you use the new post link on the front page, or do you leave something out?

Do all theads and groups get searched when you use the new post link on the front page, or do you leave something out?
You'll see all the public forums' new posts/threads. Some forums require membership and these will only appear in new posts, if you are a member of those groups. This way, a lot of people don't have to view new posts/threads that they don't have any interests in.

for example:
If you are not a member of the Rants or RPG forums, then you won't see any new posts/threads in the new posts feature. If you are a member, you will see them there.

Is there any way the Stories forum could be made a membership forum, so that I might skip over those posts more easily in the New Posts search, the way I now do with the RPG posts?

We could, but feel there is no real reason to. It only gets a handful of posts per day and we tend to keep stories forum open to public on all forums.

I would like to see the collertor thread skiped over, If i want to trade I know where to go but there are so many post per day.

It'd be really silly to create a usergroup just for that forum. It's all about VMK which this site is mostly about.
