Well they released the new Toy Story Mania Attraction is going to be at DCA and MGM Studios! Here is a caption from allears.net

It's the wondrous world of Woody the Cowboy, Buzz Lightyear and Green Army Men. And coming in 2008, guests of Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts get to ride and play inside an energy-filled toybox of fun with the debut on both coasts of "Toy Story Mania."

Celebrating the Disney-Pixar classics "Toy Story" and "Toy Story II," "Toy Story Mania" will take the interactive ride-game experience to exciting new heights. High-tech yet rooted in classic midway games of skill, "Toy Story Mania" will match the delightful characters of the films with games that best suit their very animated personalities.

Fun for the whole family, "Toy Story Mania" will immerse guests of Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's California Adventure into the "Toy Story" world as never before. Donning 3-D glasses, guests shrink to the size of a toy, and hop into fanciful ride vehicles that travel and twist along a colorful midway-themed route. Upon arriving at each game booth, they will aim for animated targets using their own special on-board "toy cannon."

As guests score points, they will be cheered on by favorite "Toy Story" friends like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Hamm, Bo Peep and the Little Green Men. Hidden targets garner players extra points and lead to different levels of play. The energy of the characters, the competition with other riders and the hilarious, unpredictable game action make this a unique experience that families will want to try again and again.

The attraction features games that audiences of all ages and skills -- from beginner to serious gamer -- can enjoy. No matter how many times guests return to ride and play, they can be sure every ride-through will be different. Players pair up and sit side-by-side for a friendly competition that delivers an ever-changing variety of targets and surprises.

Another SPECULATION is Carland. As seen in Disney's annual Report this may be a big oppurtunity for DCA. With a big need for a new land they might add this taking the place of some other places such as the Bug's Land or The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. It seems more likely at DCA because DLR is way more crowded with less room. Go to the Disney 2006 Annual Report to see some designs!

Toy Story Mania

It's official, "Toy Story Mania" is the newest attraction coming to both Disney World and Disneyland.

Based on Pixar's Toy Story movies, this high tech ride will put guest in the midst of a classic midway game. After putting on your 3-D glasses, you'll "shrink" to toy size and careen your way through the midway.

Armed with your own toy cannon, you'll take aim at the targets at the game booths you encounter along the way. Cheering you on will be Woody, Buzz, Bo Peep, Hamm and the Green Army Men. Find a hidden target and you'll rack up even more points as you compete for the highest score.

What's a midway without a barker, and who better to play the part than Mr. Potato Head? In what's being billed as the next generation of audio animatronic's and "living character" program, Mr. Potato Head will be able to talk to you as you wait in line.

"Toy Story Mania" promises to be a different experience each time you climb aboard and set out on its unpredictable course and is designed to appeal to all ages.

"Toy Story Mania" is replacing the former "Who Wants to be a Millionaire - Play It" attraction at Disney's MGM Studios and is being built at Disneyland's Paradise Pier.

Projected opening date at both venues is 2008

Pictures of the construction so far can be found inside the "Update on WDW!" thread in my signature. :)

Yes, but it's been in the Disney Gossip section of the forums, not WDW. Maybe we should find more clarity of what belongs where someday..

It also includes that Who want's to be a Millionaire? has now moved to California Adventure, which I am VERY happy about. :)
I never knew it was to be like buzz either, all new to me. :D

Hate to burst your bubble, but Millionaire at DCA has been closed just like the WDW version for quite some time. I think they were using it for Narnia sets or something last time I checked?

Toy Story Mania is a great idea, but it shouldn't be with Toy Story characters. I mean, two rides of the same genre... based on the same movie!? That'd be like building another Splash Mountain in MGM and calling it a "Song of the South" adventure.

I can't say enough about this Attraction . This ride is so wonderful. I do hope that everyone gets a chance to come and be one of Andy's toys. The official opening for ToyStory Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios is May 31st.
The ride is really nothing like Buzz Lightyear accept the fact that you are shooting at targets. I promise you that when you do ride it you will never compare the two again.
The ride at Disneyland Resort will open after ours. Not really sure of the time frame but I do know that they are not far behind. I love that all my friends from both coasts will get the chance to see the Imagineer's latest work of art. And I promise this is Disney at its best for making a ride to entertain so many!
There is no height restriction accept that small babies can not ride if they can not sit up on their own in the seat. But we will offer a ride switch for the parents. We will also have fastpass, and single riders. Expect long lines this summer but they are well worth it.

Well said!!

I went on it, and i can say, it certainly WAS well worth the wait!!
It's a very fun ride, for parents and kids. :) If you have ever been on the Pirates 'ride' at Disney Quest, the cannons that you use on there are alot like the ones in Toystory Mania, and its exciting to shoot at the targets that are everywhere with them :D

I highly recomend this ride as it is a very well put together, well thought out ride that most everyone will enjoy! :luxhello:
