Well.. this is a new one for me. Two of my family's characters chose a teleporter but the teleporter continued flashing and they did not move into next room. They could click on Hula and other people and see their pins. They had to use the map to exit and then rejoin the queue again. Has this happened to anybody else? Is there anything else they could have done? When I asked Hula she just said exit via the map - not very helpful when they could have actually chosen the winning teleporter :(

I know of someone else who had exact same problem. They said you looked like you were going throught the teleporter, but you never left the room. They ended up finally leaving the room and going to the end of the line. I wonder if they'll ever get back in for another try. Hope this doesn't happen to me since it's happened to more than one or two people.

Well, I was 50 people away from the room when someone in my family decided to turn off the DSL connection to the internet. Now I'm getting back on and mostly have no chance at getting into the room tonight. :(

Just an update of those two characters which got stuck. They both got in line again and made it into Hula's room. The first one went to the same teleporter (we knew it was the winning one) and got stuck again. The second one tried a different teleporter just to see if it was the computer, which it wasn't, but unfortunately it was the losing teleporter :( Anyone have any ideas on how not to get the character stuck, so I know for next time? Thanks

I really don't like getting stuck...(no really)...but maybe you have a higher chance of not getting stuck when you don't have like lots of programs on...I'm trying that next.

I don't get why they can't do the event assigned on the calendar. My friend and I were really looking forward to participating in Castles in the Clouds, and of course, another teleporter game. I'm sure the staff has valid reasons, but seriously.

I know this way it's quicker, but it's not exactly fun. It's a few clicks, and you're gone. It's less interaction with other players, and I like games where it's more of a luck game. Like a team game. The race games they had last month were fun. Same with the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle game, Don't Fall in, etc.

Seems to me like teleport games are every night now. >_>
I think we should start suggesting games to them..seems like they resort to teleport games if they're not in the mood or feeling uncreative. ><

At least with the teleporter games, more people have a chance to play. That's probably the reasoning behind the change.

But, think of it this way. There's 30 days in a month, 31 in some. That's plenty of days to get in at least 10 host games, and most of them this month from the looks of it seem like teleporter games. For those that can be on and attend at least all or most of the events, all the teleporter games get boring after a while.

Just so you know, do NOT get off of the ride in one of the secondary rooms. You can't get back on. I had to leave and get back in line.

I like the teleporter games, too. With regular team games and races, if you're not entering the game within the first 10 minutes it opens, you probably won't get in. Also, lag and new players can negatively impact on how you do in a race game. And if you play and lose, you definitely won't get in again. At least with teleporters, you can probably join the queue one hour before the game ends and get in for a try.

Teleporter games allow flexibility with people's schedules. We have things outside of VMK like school, work, sports, family events, etc that may keep us from many Host events. Making the events available to larger numbers of people makes sense, especially with more people joining every day.

I got in (for the last two days I was in the first group!) but also got horrendously stuck and never got into the river ride. Locked up, eventually had to exit the whole game.

But I know I got the pin cause I checked before I got locked up. I got the message and checked my inventory and had the extra pin (I now have four).

I also have three sword pins to try :) but now I am on two other characters for host game so will have to wait. Hopefully, maybe, crossing my fingers for the Tea Party pin!!

When I was there I couldn't move after I got off the teleporter. I think there was some block although I also seem to have had lags and an eventual total lock up. But while I was trying to get out/move people were starting to get rude. I hate that when I am trying my best to move but am locked up (couldn't even type).

It is to celebrate NASCAR racing. There is a race on today apparently. That is why Host Sparky was on today and why the racing pin is being given out, just for today.
