Go to the NEW Fanstalyland forcourt then ride both ride ( 10 credits each ) then when you walk out of the last ride it will give you sword in the stone magic one time use!! once you have the magic walk up to the word and the stone and use the magic you will then attempt to pull out the sword but it wont work so ride the rides again get more magic and keep trying ( a known prize: Mad Tea Party Pin )

Yes you get a message saying you were awarded the sword in the stone one time use pin. It expires in 1 day and I got it on my first ride. I did not win anything so I can not tell what any prize is.

I really think it's just random, i've gotten it once and i've ridden 2 times on alice and 1 time on pan.

The magic pin is awarded randomly, and it can be from either one of the rides.

Although many people have received them, most are not getting anything when they use them.

We have to play Pirates over and over again to get keys, but that doesn't get boring because we are actively involved.

These rides are truly beautiful, but I think there's a good reason why there are mostly games instead of rides in VMK.

Hmm, I think the intent is to ride them once a day like when you do your daily credit run. Similar to when you go to visit the park. You wouldn't necessarily ride these rides over and over and over and over again at the real park, so why would you do it here (other than for the prize)?:rolleyes:

A way to keep these interesting in my opinion would be to let us win the room furnishings such as the hedge and the cards and such. Maybe each fifth ride through you get a new piece of the hedge.

The likelihood of winning the magic pin by riding these once a day is extremely small. And the likelihood of winning anything with the magic is even smaller.

This has really been set up to encourage riding over and over and over again, to get more sword pins. In the same way that Pirates has been set up to to keep you trying for more keys, and POTC to keep you trying for the Sparrow costume. Doesn't mean you have to, but most people will if you hold something sufficiently out of reach. ;)

When you play pirates you usually get some credits too.. with the rides you only spend credits.. ;)

Then you take a chance whether or not you can lift the sword for the Mad Tea Party Pin.

As far as I know, you will randomly be givin the Sword in the Stone Magic Pin when you ride either ride. It is a chancy thing. Once you get the pin, you go over and stand next to the sword, and say Draw! There is another chancy thing. Sometimes you get a prize after you say it, but most of the time you don't.

I had one this morning and also had no luck. I do like the new rides also. But I won't be on it everyday just for a chance to get magic.

It's completely random, I got my first magic after the 8th - 10th ride.. and got nothing from it.. and my son got his magic after the first ride and he got the pin too!

It is the random pin, I have used 100 credits (gone on it 10 times) And it still hasn't gaven me the pin it is totally random like the prize when you get the pin.

well it isn't a rumor anymore. you get a sword magic randomly by going on the two rides. then you use the magic in the lobby at the sword and stone to try and pull the sword out. if you do you win the tea cup pin. the pan pin is from a quest.

It took me 4 hours of constant riding to get my sword magic that finally gave me the mad tea party pin. :O I must have tried about .... 20 of the sword magics, and finally it worked, lol.

Then I tried for an extra like 6 hours trying to get another because my friend still hasn't got hers and was riding for almost as long as me, but vmk is closed, lol. So once it's open I am gonna be riding some more in hopes that I can win her one. :)

It may be boring after the first few rides, and it may cost credits each time to try, but at least (judging by what I've been reading here) it's a lot more common to win the Tea Party pin than it is to win the Sparrow costume. Still, at least with the Pirates game we get a monkey or a poster or something even when we don't win.

I played Haunted Mansion in between some riding just to get some extra credits for the rides. But yea, it does get boring after a while.

I have gotten three magic pins; I seem to be getting them at around five rides each. However, I have gotten them all on Peter Pan (I guess I have ridden Pan a bit more than Alice). Also, no Tea Party pins for me yet. I haven't had a lot of time to be on but even if I can be on more, I'm just not sure how many times I have the heart to try. On occasion, yes. But constantly, I don't think so.

None for me yet either. I did play while I was waiting for host game last night. I think I have gotten a total of around eight Sword pins but no pulling out of the sword (not as many as most). I am averaging around 5 rides per sword pin, so I guess I've spent around 400 credits in my attempt so far. Seems like more LOL.

Basically, if I'm doing something else, I'll send my character through the rides. But if I feel like being more active with the game, then I'll do something else (like games or quests, visiting rooms, etc.). Hmmmm, wierd new dynamic to the game. I do like that there does seem to be some variety expected with the stone prizes. It does keep me trying to get the prizes.

I am on vacation, so I can't get on. But it looks likes a very cool new addition, although I don't know why VMK did it. It's good that you don't get a prize EVERY time, because it would become so invaluable there is no point.

If you could get a prize everytime then the prize(if it were only that pin) would become less valuable than a pair of tan flip flops.

Ok today i finally got the pin, well kinda. Ok so i had five pins, i used them all but one. And this girl came on and used her pin before me, and got the sword out. Yea so she said she felt bad about it and gave me the pin instead. So i think that you should either take turns with a friend or just wait till someone did use a pin to get it. Now im going to try that.

Over in another thread they're saying that everyone is getting the 10 credit prize from the sword in the stone magic right now. Sounds like some kind of problem. So everyone might want to save any unused magic pins and try them tomorrow!

Well, make it three as it just happened to me about 10 minutes before closing. What a rush to see the sword actually start to rise, then what a disappointment to see "10 credits" as the prize! Ah well, guess I'll continue to try my luck, and someday the pin will be mine. :)

What!! Total disbelief here! If this is true then I seriously hope they ban this player (or put them in a small room alone with me!) I rode for 3 1/2 hours yesterday just for 1 magic sword pin, I need to take my frustration out on someone :(

Trust me when I say that if there is/was any kind of chicanery going on, VMK staff knows about it. Such is the nature of the beast. We have all thought about cheating somewhere in life. Deciding to act upon it or not is what makes us who we are.

I guess if this is true, staff know about it and is fixing the problem so you can't drop anything in the ride anymore, How do ppl come up with all this cheat stuff. Just play the game and have fun. This are the ppl that later want to trade for all our rare stuff that we work so hard for. Ban them for life!

Should be easy enough for VMK to fix this loophole, though, and once they do, I hope we can get our Mad Tea Party pins back.

VMK is closing down for enhancements. This must mean they are fixing the problem.

I dont get it? How are they cheating?If you have a quest kiosk, you have to test your quest before you can release it. For some reason (and this never really made any sense to me) when you test an item-finding task, the quest kiosk will dump you into the room where the items are. This is how people 'walk on water' in the waterpark pool

So if you drop an item in a room on the ride, you can apparently use your kiosk to bypass the fee and part to all of the ride. I haven't tried it (so not worth the risk of getting banned, when one game of pirates gives me enough credits for dozens of rides!) so I don't know for sure, but the only way I can think of to make this work requires that you be able to get off the ride track. So that should be all that needs to be fixed, I think.

Edit: Nope, I'm misremembering. It's even easier than I though. Sigh.

I mean in one way it's pretty creative to think that because it is pretty smart, but it's like evil smart. If those same peeps put a effort into doing good creative things then they could probably make some awesome stuff to share with peeps in VMK. I don't like it at all when peeps use talent for a bad purpose. It's like some of the dictionary dances you see.. I mean I'm pretty amazed by some of the ways peeps figure to say stuff but I see way too many times when they figured out how to say REALLY bad stuff that no normal person would ever want to say anyway.

We never actually bothered to try it, but that was mainly because we were both so annoyed with our quest kiosks over the period issue, not because we weren't curious to see if we could do it. If you are a tester, that is your job to think like that. There are actually two responsiblities of a tester to ensure the process is working as expected and to identify if they can break a system/by pass rules in the system. I do this for my company to ensure compliance.

Well, doing it once out of curiosity, seeing that it's possible, and using contact us to let the team know about the problem isn't cheating. Doing it over and over to get more pins is. Just because nobody said 'don't use your quest kiosk to get around the entrance fee' doesn't mean that it's allowed.

But, if the reason the magic pin stopped giving out tea party pins is because of this cheat, there is no way that it was an appropriate response. As you said, this only actually hurts the people who were not cheating; it's really no skin of the nose of a cheater if their exploit stops working.

I don't know if it's just better luck or what but I've been getting a lot more sword magics today in less rides than I did before. None have worked to pull the sword yet but I'm still trying just to see if I get a Lumiere or what. And I'm doing it as more of my own test so I know I'm probably wasting time and credits riding but I just want to see for myself. I have only seen one player actually get the sword out and I asked him what he got and he said a Lumiere so it doesn't look good.. I will report back if I ever get the sword out.

It is cheating. If you are be asked to pay virtual credits to do something and you find a way around it, creative or not, it is considered cheating. Those of us who pay taxes know what I am talking about.

I got one of those single use pins and when I got to the stone, I didn't get anything. So don't get upset people, just keep trying!

Same here LOL. I still have plenty of Lumiere's from one of the Tomorrowland quests (can't remember which). Just not worth the waste of time and credits to ride (unless I have a burning desire to see the rooms again).

I just checked...it costs 150 credits to buy in SWI. So, if you didn't have it and wanted it, its a decent deal if you won it right off the bat LOL.

Otherwise, it sells back for, yes, a measly 10 credits. I think that's what you were asking about.

Hmm, I think the intent is to ride them once a day like when you do your daily credit run. Similar to when you go to visit the park. You wouldn't necessarily ride these rides over and over and over and over again at the real park, so why would you do it here (other than for the prize)?:rolleyes:

I would <g> Last time i went to WDW we went on the Haunted Mansion 12 times - in a row. As long as the lines are short, we take advantage of our favorite rides. :)

(Sorry, still brooding about this one...can't quite bring myself to feel better about the low credit thing after all my hard work and 'effort'. and yes greenhppr, I too will ride rides over and over if the line happens to be short! It allows for taking in all of the little things you may not have noticed before.

Hahaha. You're funny. I rode the rides like, 7 times and got NADA. Well, I rode the Alice ride. I'll try again. (I keep playing Street Party and running around the Autopias. Heh heh heh.

Well, keep trying. For the past two days I did not get one. But usually once I get my first pin, I get them pretty regularly. And the days I did not get them were the days when they were having problems.

I disagree. In order to get the pin, you had to randomly win the magic pin from paying to ride the rides. Then, after you had randomly won the pin, you had to hope that the magic actually allowed you to remove the sword and win the pin. Add to this the fact that after only a few days of the pin being available that staff pulled the pin as the prize at all. Honestly, how many of this pin could there possible be in VMK? 100 - 200, maybe? Seems pretty rare to me.
Anyway, it doesn't really matter whether you or I thinks it is rare, I was basing my original comment on what the pin has been trading for: Pirate and Holiday quest items and other items of similar value.

If the bug was fixed and the pin is the prize again - consider the high trade value gone.
